Asalamulykum,
I have a question regarding the rights of a man being able to marry more than one wife. I know that polygamy is allowed in Islam, however, what are the rules and regulations behind it? Is it true that a man can only marry another wife in times of war when a woman is not able to support herself?
I feel that it is very unfortunate as many men nowadays want 4 wives, with no good reason behind it. Also, is it true that if the Husbands first Wife does not agree to the second marriage then he cannot have a another wife?
