Question:
Dear Shaykh, Assalamu alaykum,
May Allah SWT be pleased with you.
Yesterday, I saw Maulana Shaykh Nazim in my dream, standing in the far left of the dream and saying with slight disgust or displeasure that I am Roman. I was in the centre of the dream and not wearing hijab, but wearing dark clothes with some pure white in them.
I request to be forgiven, for my lack of adab.
I have been wondering about my origins for a long time. Although, I am British Pakistani, I believe that because my father’s family is from Central Asia and Madina and my mother’s ancestors are from Madina, that I am Turkish and Arab, and Persian (because my father’s mother was Persian).
Please could you shed some light on my origins and interpret this dream?
Thank you from my heart. May Allah SWT forgive us all.
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani saying “you are Roman” means you have adapted the ways of life of the West and left those of your ancestors. Alhamdulillah however, you are mixing good (as indicated by white in your clothes) with what may not be so good, so try to make muhasabah, self-accounting, to see where you diverge from your ancestors in behavior and manners and correct that and insha-Allah you will see Mawlana Shaykh or one of his caliphas happy with you.
And Allah knows best the interpretation, pray for us.
