Dream: Shaykh `Abdullah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani q.s

Dream:

Salams my dear Shaykh,

One of the nights a couple of months ago, I dreamt of Shaykh Abdullah q.s. I was in a living room with a cottage-like setting. Sat in front of me cross-legged, in the fireplace on top of the burning woods, was Shaykh Abdullah. He told me to sit upright straight and face him. In a split of a second, he disappeared up the chimney and returned to the living room as a black man, (oil-covered) and running around shouting/screaming ‘majnun, majnun!’. I got scared and asked shaykh what is happening. In that split second, he was back sitting in front of me and told me some nasiha which I could not remember. I asked him to teach me something and he recited sura ‘Alam Nasrah’. Instead of reciting the huruf combined, he recited it huruf by huruf. He ended by the first line and I woke up straight after that.

I am very much troubled by this dream and I really hope I could get some interpretation of this.

Salams ya Shaykh & doa for me.

Interpretation:

Seeing Grandshaykh relates to  your connection to him from the Day of Promises. Appearing in a cottage is your heart connection to him, for “The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord”, and the House is not empty but inhabited.  Telling you to sit straight and face him means stand for this faith as you have been ordered and connect to his calipha Mawlana Shaykh Nazim as much as possible through rabitah and muraqabah to receive his faiz.

As Grandshaykh Jamaluddin sent a box filled with burning charcoal on the bottom with burning coals above it to the Russian governor of Daghestan, sitting on burning wood signifies Grandshaykh’s power (and by the same token his appointed spiritual heir, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim) to control the heart of the murids, even to the extent of subduing their physical desires.  Disappearing up the chimney and returning covered in oil saying “majnun” is telling you what you will be without his control on your heart, through Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.

You don’t remember the nasiha, but  your heart has captured it. Teaching you Alam Nashrah, is a great opening, for with it the heart of the Prophet (s) was opened and his remembrance was raised up. Reciting harf by harf means downloading to you the 12,000 oceans of knowledge that appear on every letter of Holy Qur’an to Naqshband masters. This indicates you should focus on the Holy Qur’an. And this dream has many other meanings.

w ‘Allahu `alam,

Taher Siddiqui
