I’m doing my Master’s thesis on Tasliyah. To begin with, what are the relations of Madih Nabawi and Tasliyah? What I mean, is the literary genre of tasliah i.e. Dala’il Khayrat a sub-division of Madih Nabawi ie. Burdah etc?

Neither is a subset of the other but they Salawat and salam are a type of worship enjoined in the Qur’an while Madih is a literary genre founded by the Companions, encouraged by the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace), originating in and devoted to that worship.
