Question:
Is it ok to take ihram in hotel in Makkah, them go to meeqat to make 2 rakats and niyyah for umrah? Just to clarify we first went to Makkah without taking ihram then went to meeqat from Makkah hotel and took ihram.
Answer:
It is impermissible for one intending `Umrah to pass by the miqat without niyyah and ihram then come back for niyyah and ihram later. For expiation for each person in the group one goat or sheep slaughtered in the Haram of Mecca and distributed entirely to the poor.
