A friend recently commited suicide. I’m wondering how best to help him. I’ve prayed, and I included him in my recent Qurbani.
My question is: what are the specific things one can do to aid the soul of a person who has died this way?

Sorry for your loss. We must believe that Allah’s mercy is bigger than the sins of the children of Adam as and more than an ocean is to a speck of dust. If your love for this person reminds you to pray, recite Quran or do zikr and offer it as a gift of Divine Mercy for them then do so as your heart finds contentment in doing so.
