Question:
Salam alaykum,
Just wondering where tests are from. As in God or Awlias, or, devil or peoples own (unconsciously) hostile nafs (towards people on a ‘path’), or, are they the result of past actions (like other religions say karma) and therefore like an act of Divine justice?
Please can you say why we get them too?

Alaykum as-Salam,
Everything is from Allah Most High but we blame ourselves for negativity and we seek refuge in Him always through repentence. As for the why, we leave it to Him and do not probe it.
