I am a sister, and I keep dreaming that I am a student. When in reality, I am not a student. Sometimes I dream I have a test and it’s easy, sometimes I didn’t do my work, sometimes I am about to graduate. Sometimes I am in classroom and coloring a map or doing something related to school. I also see myself in bathrooms using the toilet, or just passing by, or at the sink, sometimes in the bath tub and sometiems see human excrements too. in the dream i am walking through/scouting an apartment, which i think is maybe a new home. on an upper floor is see a shadowy black cat, and i think, “no! not again!” i believe this cat is an evil jinn. it comes to me and manifests, agressively. i draw back, afraid. then i remember that Shaykh Nazim is always with me. i point my right forefinger at the creature, and recite clearly, loudly, slowly, Ikhlas x3, Falaq and Nas. the creature cowers and retreats. there is light. my arm and finger tingle. toward the end of the recitation the sounds starts to diminish in my right ear. i wake up.

The word “Alif” in Latin letters flashed in my vision; black letters on white background, white letters on black background, over and over until I woke up. I did not know what “Alif” was. I did not know that it was the name of an Arabic letter as I had no knowledge whatsoever of Arabic at the time.
