Assalamo Alaykom, respected Shayk (s)
I have read on many internet sites that Shayk Nazim and Shayk Hisham Kabbani knows of the identity of Imam Al Mahdi.
There is a site on the net wich is called ” Wakeup Project “. Recently there is a big discussion going on in one of the threads started there, that Shayk Habib Ali Jiffri suits the criteria for being the awaited Mahdi and many people on that forum has had dreams of Shayk Habib Ali Jiffri being the awaited Mahdi.

So my question to Shayk Hisham Kabbani is ,can you confirm if Habib Ali Jiffri is the Awaited Imam Al Mahdi ?

Just as the Dajjal will have k-f-r (the root letters for the word “unbeliever”) highly visible on his forehead for the true believers, similarly the latter will have no doubt as to the identity of the Awaited Rightly-Guided caliph (al-Mahdi al-Muntazar) when the time comes.
It is good to ask oneself and try to be aware of the impending appearance of al-Mahdi (upon our Prophet and his Family blessings and peace) as it is a required belief of Ahl al-Sunnah at the end of times and no one who has eyes to see how dark our times are getting, doubts that the time is getting very near.
The main characteristic of those who stand by the side of al-Mahdi as mentioned by Habib Alawi bin Ahmad bin Hasan bin al-Qutb Abdullah al-Haddad in his book Misbah al-Anam (of which we translated and published the long introduction in full) are to defend truth against batil i.e. be Haqqani, be Rabbani. Whoever is involved in that is in the foremost ranks of al-Mahdi and connected with him whether consciously and in full awareness of his identity or not. We believe that Habib Ali Jifri and his teacher Habib Umar bin Hafiz, for example, have been doing that as others have also been doing the same, who may or may not be of such high rank, or above, or below, depending on the insights of the Awliya concerning each one’s task, {And above every knower there is a greater knower}, (Yusuf, 12:76) “and each one of them seeks the Messenger of Allah’s bounty, some with a humble scoop of the hand and others with a massive pail from the sea.”
I once asked Mawlana Shaykh Nazim about the contention of the Shaykh al-Akbar Shaykh Muhyi al-Din Ibn Arabi that the Mahdi would come out of Morocco and he simply replied: “The one who knows for sure is not like the one who does not know.” So let us not try to pin down the Shuyukh for a yes or no answer and let us observe their adab which is the surest way to be in a state of readiness and acceptance when the news comes — which will be not from TV or the internet but through the hearts of Ahl al-Haqq. May Allah Most High join us with them as He joins between the soul and the body, truly He has power over all things and He answers our prayers.
