that I asked because one documents I linked was written by a deviant (which I found out after posting the question) who believed that the aforementioned incident occurred.

It’s no problem, the story of the cranes is part of the sirah and the explanations translated by Shaykh Gibril explain it in detail and clarify it from the position of Ahl as-Sunnah wa ‘l-Jama`ah.
