Question:
Dearest Shaykh, Assalamu alaykum,
In my book of Asma al Husna there is no entry for ‘The Most Beautiful’, which surely is one of the attributes of Allah SWT.
Please can you tell me the Arabic name of Allah SWT which means ‘The Most Beautiful’?
I am sorry to bother you with this. But your help is always MUCH appreciated. May Allah SWT grant you all your good wishes, aameen.

wa `alaykum salam,
You are right, it is so all-encompassing an attribute that ALL the 99 Divine Names and Attributes fall under it, for they are collectively known as Asma’ullahi ‘l-Husna, the Most Beautiful Names of Allah.
And the Prophet (s) said,
إنَّ اللَّهَ جَمِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الجَمالَ
“Verily Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty.” (Muslim)
Allah swt describes beauty throughout His Holy Book. For example Allah swt says:
يَا بَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْءَاتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا
{O Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover yourselves (screen your private parts, etc.) and as an adornment, and the raiment of righteousness, that is better.} (Suratu ‘l-A`raf, 7:26)
Describing the people of Paradise, Allah said:
فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا
{But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy} (Suratu ‘l-Insan, 76:11-12)
