Question:
Salaam dear respected Shaykhs.
Some family members have asked this question and I am unsure of the answer. Please can you clarify:
Why do we say ‘Dastoor Madad Ya Sayyidi‘ when something is about to happens or when we need help? Surely shouldn’t we beseech directly to Allah for help?
Is it not Shirk to call upon any other than Allah for help?
