I had a dream today around the time of tahajjud. I usually do dhikr, and this is the one of the nights I did not due to a severe back ache, May Allah (swt) forgive me.
Dream: My right arm had words inscribed on it in Arabic, “Hu Allah, Tatalanuku (or Tanulqu or Taqulna) ala Nur Allah“. My mom who was sitting beside me instantly said: This is Shaitan, he is after you. Be careful.
(Some History: In the beggining of my path, whenever I would mention any good experience, like receiving dhikr from Allah, my mom would say maybe its Shaitan playing tricks with you. Be careful!)
Answer:
`Alaykum as-Salam,
“Tawakkaltu `ala Nur Allah, I rely on the light of Allah.” When you miss tahajjud your heart (symbolized by your right arm in your dream) still does your wird for you and its store of Divine light is renewed. It is not Shaytan but it is good nevertheless to stay vigilant; that is always golden advice.
