Dream: Dream: Brothers, cousin and a girl

Dream:

Assalamou alaykoum,

Bismillah:

I was in a train with brothers of the tariqa, then I felt myself in the center of the city where I saw my cousin Zakaria. I went to him to salute him but he seemed worried, like he doesn’t know me and said: “I think I should leave now.”. He began to run away from me but I followed him for awhile. Then I realized he was not my cousin but just a person who looks like him. Then I’m back in the train but it looks like a tramway inside. I see the same brothers (but I can remember the face of just one of them). Then I noticed a girl I know sitting with them. I decided to sit next to her and began to tell her the thing about my cousin in the city.

May Allah bless you Sayyidi,

Wassalamou alaykoum.

wa `alaykum salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham has explained that on our spiritual journey there may be rest stops and exits, like traveling on a highway.

The center of the city where you exited the train is a dunya area. Your family member Zakaria represents your good self or soul which was not comfortable there. Your existence in dunya was shown to be illusory (it was not really your cousin) and thus you ended your “exit” in the city center and resumed your journey. The girl on the tramway is another sign of dunya, a parting reminder.

w’Allahu a`lam.
