Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Your dream is a reflection of the inspirations that came to Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani on 16th May, 2011, in his suhbat (Suicide is Forbidden), where Mawlana discussed the evil of suicide attacks in great detail and said he had been ordered to spread this information east and west. Here is a partial excerpt of the translation:

Obey the verse “do not kill yourselves“! in either the meaning of someone who kills another or someone who kills himself, either meaning, applies.

Whoever kills himself, that is suicide. In the classical Arabic suicide is to kill oneself and that is haram. Allah forbade it. And yet today in our time suicide became a fashion and everyone, in the hundreds, people are suiciding themselves. Who gave them permission for that? Where are the `ulama and rulers? Who gave you to believe that suicide is halal?

Suicide, to kill one’s-self, is from the most despicable forms of behavior. It is the way of the scorpion. The scorpion, when it loses hope and is about to be captured by an enemy, kills itself – that is its characteristic and that is despicable and forbidden.

Ask them about the fatwa which (those `ulama gave) permitting Muslims to commit suicide, when it is completely forbidden! Why, for what reason did they give that fatwa? Who gave them fatwas for people to carry explosive belts and to enter and kill themselves and kill generally?! Is that Islam?

With that evil despicable forbidden action you wish to paint the honored religion of Islam? Where are kings? Where are scholars? There are none left, and Allah is angry with them.

I want to see a fatwa issued by al-Azhar, by (scholars of) Sham, by (scholars of) Baghdad, by (scholars of) the Turks, and especially by (scholars of) Pakistan showing the forbidden nature of killing oneself. By what h right are they killing generally and they are calling it Shari`atullah and they are not denouncing that as haram.

If that doesn’t reach then one day they will be killed, not unjustly but just as they are teaching or allowing (in their wrong fatwas). As the one who is silent from speaking the truth is a dumb shaytan.

They became dumb devils, all those designated to give fatwa and those in charge of Islamic affairs who are keeping silent in front of the truth, that suicide is haram, as Allah said, “Do not kill yourselves!”

That is an important affair from the Master of all Affairs from heaven to earth which came to me this morning to make clear to His servants. Let them show me if there is any proof of what they are doing? The punishment and curse of Allah is on them. If they want to escape from the punishment they must not be silent.

Who kills himself suicide by anything kills himself – may Allah protect us from that – up to Judgment Day. That person will kill himself in every moment, kill himself, kill himself continuously, not just one time. Rather in barzakh, his punishment begins in the grave, and by whatever means he killed himself or herself, he will do that to himself up to the Day of Judgment.

So be on good conduct O Muslims. Let the ummah keep the orders of Allah swt.

Taher Siddiqui
