Assalamu’alaykum beloved Shaykhs & staff of eShaykh,
My father has been abusive since I was young, he does not contribute to the household income. Rather, he lives off my mother (and often takes her money without her knowledge in large sums). Of late, he has eased on abusing me and my two sisters (he only has 3 daughters). He has also been abusing drugs since a long time ago.
Most recently, with Allah’s grace, we found out he has extra marital affairs too, but not with women, but with people of the same sex as him.
My mother does not know what to do and she hopes that our beloved Shaykhs can guide us to do the right thing. Please dua for us and our safety.

Alaykum Salam,
Consult with legal counsel for your mother’s options and seek
psychological counseling to heal. Let your mother make intention that
whatever money she lost is for sadaqa. Make sure to attend a weekly
circle of dhikr and make dua there. Recite astaghfirullah x100-1000
daily and Ya Jabbar Ya Hafiz x100 as well.
