Question:
The daughter of a Muslim family came out pregnant outside of wedlock. The fellow who got her pregnant is now gone, out of the picture. Another young man though has proposed for her. Is it permitted for her to marry him (ie there is no waiting period until after baby is born)?
Answer:
Her waiting period (Iddah) ends once the baby is delivered. After that she is free to get married.
