Salam. I wanted to know if I could make wudu then apply nail polish and pray? I know the the nail beds do not get wet when you have nail polish on but is the spiritual act enough? Even if I have nail polish on it doesn’t stop me from prayer. Is this wrong?
Answer:
One can make wudu then apply nail polish and pray. But if the nail polish is impermeable then new wudu is not valid unless it is removed before taking a new wudu. If the nail polish is permeable, then wudu is valid as in the case with henna. Permeable polish fits religious restrictions.
