Question:
Aslamualaykum
A representative of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said that a sharia punishments(such as execution for murder and chopping off hands for stealing) cant be carried out on Muslim women in a Islamic state. He said that there is no proof in the time of the Prophet or earlier generations that this took place. And argued that if she was taken care of properly then she would have no reason to steal. Is this correct? Because I am sure there is a verse in the Quran which says that Men and Women who steal should have there hands chopped off.
