Dream: White Bearded old man

Dream:

Assalmu Alaikum Ya Sheikh,

I have seen an old man with white beard in our living room window. He was sitting inside our room and watching outside. I have conflict views with my father these days but I love him a lot. What does this dream mean?

JazakAllah.

Interpretation:

a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

In sha Allah you are protected by awliya. Try to avoid conflict with your father. In the end you might regret it.

Dream: I led Friday Prayer

Dream:

We were at an outdoor Friday prayer. There were a lot of people waiting for imam. My friend, very knowledgeable than me, asked me to lead the prayer. I refused and pointed someone else. Then, two men went to look for the imam and came back without the imam. My friend asked me again, and I found myself in front of the congregation. Someone did the iquama, and I started leading the prayer with huge pressure. After first rakat I mistakenly sat down, and suddenly saw someone in front of me reminding me to get up. I realized the mistake and got up to finish the prayer with a corrective sujud at the end.

First rakat: I loudly recited Al-Fatiha and the last two verses of Surah At-Tahubah.
Second rakat: I loudly recited Al-Fatiha and Surah An-Nasr.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm
:

This dream is a teaching not to give value to our actions as they are mixed with our ego and our desire, and that we need to ask Allah (swt) forgiveness and seek His Mercy, through the guidance of Awliya’ullah that are represented in your dream by the man in front of you.

And Allah knows best.

Dream: Royal British

Dream:

Bismillah,

I was on a stage with the queen and the royal families and we were eating together. I asked the queen why is there a queen in her kingdom not a king. I forgot her answers but she said William will be the king next.  Itold to them that William is talented to be a king. One of them was amazed of my statement and said only Ashraff can know true leader. I said “I am from the [private] family (royal hashimite family, my ancestors are from Barakat three, royal Jordanian…). Hearing my confession they all are amazed. I was in their palace and witnessing conflicts. At the end prince Charles died due to the conflicts. Then, I heard MSN said he never saw such grand opening of goodness from Allah. Even before when the country is established as a kingdom, such grand opening like this never happened.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh,

The statment of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim means that through his guidance you will pass all this tests and reach the highest ranks and honors in the Divine presence insh Allah.

And Allah knows best, please keep us in your du’a insh Allah.

Prayer Request: Sickness

Request:

As-salamu `alaykum,

Three months ago I bought a new house, but I am not the least bit happy or peaceful in it. I want my old house back. I want to leave this house but I’m scared as to what type of people I will meet in the new place. I cry everyday. I feel sick to my stomach and cry to my husband to take me away from this place. I am extremely afraid of meeting new people. I was told by someone that my old neighbor made sihr on me. After this incident, I’ve been feeling very ill both spiritually and physically. I get really disturbed by noise. I used to be very meticulous about cleaning, but after moving into this new house I feel unable to do anything. I cannot clean or cook. When I do salah or read Qur’an I feel a bit better, but as soon as I’m done praying and reading Qur’an, thoughts about the new house come back and I end up crying again. I thought of committing suicide twice or to leave my children and husband behind. I want to abandon the city I’m living in. Currently I am undergoing psychological treatment. What would you advise me to do?

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,
Recite Ya Hafiz 300 times and Recite 100 x Ya Halim daily. Keep your wudu always and go to bed with wudu.

You should see a physician regarding your physical symptoms.

Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani

Translation:

Dua Isteği:

Selamun Aleykum …

Cevap:

ve `aleykum selam,
Hergün 300 defa “Ya Hafiz” ve 100 defa “Ya Halim” çek. Daima abdestli bulun ve gece abdestli yat.

Fiziksel semptomlar hususunda bir doktora görünmelisin.

Morality in Islam

Question:

Salaam alaykum!

Is morality in Islam…
1. Deontological – i.e., an action is judged good or bad purely by its own intrinsic nature, or
2. Consequential – i.e., an action is judged based on its consequences ?

Also, many people put forward ‘moral dilemmas’ to refute religion such as putting what would be deemed as a ‘sin’ in a positive light, for example, if you kill a certain man in China your family won’t be destitute etc., or something like that to highlight that there is ‘no absolute morality’ or that what is ‘right and wrong’ changes in every situation.. Could you please explain this? I hope you understand..

Jazakallah Kheir

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

It can be either or both depending on context. As for criminality or sinfulness it is determined by examining intention, and killing is justifiable only in certain circumstances elucidated in the Law, such as a commissioned soldier in a war, or the execution of a criminal. There is certainly right and wrong, the halal (lawful) is clear and the haram (unlawful) is clear. In between is a gray area where most people get confused.

Dream: Shaykh Hisham in Madinah

Dream:

Salaams,
I’m writing this dream on behalf of my brother. His name is [private]. My brother writes….”I’m at the airport and I see shaykh Hisham. He is wearing a white hat and his beard is very beautiful. I give him salam and he says we met in Madinah, I agreed with him. Then he gave me a green tasbeeh and said to hand it in the direction of the Kaaba to help me with khushu in pray. He then gave me another tasbee with 33 beads made from wood, after 15 beads there was a wood bit which had Allah written in it. He advised me to do my tasbeeh on this. On leaving he gave me his address and advised me to come and see him because we had much to discuss which we couldn’t in Madinah.”

We did all meet shaykh Hisham in Madinah, recently.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh,
Al Hamdulillāh, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is showing your brother the way to gain more concentration in his spiritual journey. As Mawlana explained in a recent suhba, focusing being in front of the Ka’aba or Rawda Sharifa, while doing dhikr or salawat, will help us to improve insh Allah.

Being invited to visit the shaykh means to continue attending his suhba by attending group dhikr, following his teachings (books, SufiLive.com) and of course by trying to visit him physically insh Allah. And Allah knows best.

Poetry Contest

Question:

Salaam,
There is a poetry contest where you pay an entry fee of $20 or so, and the judges will read all of the poems and the 1st place winner gets $50,000. Is it halal to enter a poem?

Similarly, are game-shows in which you win money based on your knowledge halal or haram?

May Allah Bless and Reward you

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,
If you have to pay any entry fee in any contest you are not allowed to participate in it as it is a kind of gambling. But if you participate in a contest free of obligation to pay any fee and you win you are allowed to receive a gift from the organizer of the contest.

Dream: Moved to a new house

Dream:

Asslamu’alaikum Dear shaykhs,

Please interpret this dream for my wife:

She dreamt that we have moved to a new house in another town within the same country. However, my wife says in the dream she was showing the house to some relatives. Both she and the guests commented how nice the upstairs was. But the guests pointed out that they were not too happy with the fact that the kitchen of the house was for some reason communal and had to be shared with others. My wife says she then pointed out to the guests, that she was not too concerned about that, as she was happy with the rest of the house.

Please interpret this for me.

Jazakallahu khair.
