What is an adoptive mother’s status in Islam?

Question:

I adopted 2 girls – now 24 and 16.
What is the status of a woman who adopts daughters – in the eyes of Allah and Rasool (SAW)?

Answer:

In juristic terms it is a mawla-to-mawla relationship benefiting both the adoptive mother and the adopted child in terms of lifelong love, care, honor, protection, loyalty, rights and inheritance, but without blood-related marriage restrictions, all in the same way as the case of the Holy Prophet, upon him and his family blessings and peace, and his adoptive son Zayd b. Haritha. If the children are orphans (i.e. their father died when they were young) then the adoptive parents’ or parent’s reward is exponentially multiplied; likewise if such care, in the case of adopted girls, reaches the moment of their being honorably given away in marriage, which clinches great rewards for the adoptive parents in sha Allah. There are other aspects and details in the books of fiqh, and Allah knows best.

I had a dream that my baby had a dream of the prophet

Question:

I had a dream, in that dream my baby woke up from her sleep and said she had a dream of the prophet Muhammad PBUH. And he stated that her parents should pray. However, alham dullilah both me and wife pray. My baby is only 1.5 years old and can’t talk yet

Answer:

Our mashaykh have stated that seeing a dream within a dream means it is just as you saw. It means your child was granted the lofty station to speak with Prophet (s), as well as to speak in the cradle, inheriting from Hadrat `Isa (as), and directing you to establish true prayers, not the imitative (taqleedi) prayers, which all of us perform. True prayers means being in the Divine Presence when you make Takbirat al-Ihram. Allah Alone knows best.

Covered wells

Question:

I had a dream 15 years ago, and I can’t understand. I saw myself in Blessed feet of Prophet (saw). It was a room made of mud and had no doors and windows. There were 9 covered wells. A veiled Jew was showing them. I was afraid for safety of Prophet (saw).

Answer:

The dream appears to point to two teachings; one is personal for yourself, and the other is general about endtimes.

Seeing oneself with the Prophet, upon him the blessings and peace of Allah, is a sign that one will not leave this life except as a Muslim in sha Allah. In this respect the dream is the best possible good news for you and you should celebrate it for the rest of your life.

The rest is a reference to the story of our liegelord the Prophet Yusuf (Joseph), upon him blessings and peace, and his half-brothers, 9 of whom plotted to kill him and later almost did until the 10th persuaded them not to on both occasions. The 11th is his innocent full brother Benyamin and, like the 10th, is not represented. The wells represent life and divine election, but their wells were covered up because their status of Prophets — following their repentance from their crime — is a disputed point (denied by most Muslim scholars) and a secret known to Allah Most High. The veiled Jew is a representation of all those from Ahl al-Kitab (Jews and Christians) whose ultimate state of being guided to Allah is also suspended, as of yet unknown, and subject to the return of the Prophet `Isa (Jesus), upon him blessings and peace, the continuation of his life on earth, and his actual death, before which time such veils will be removed and the status of the agnostic will be clear as mentioned in the Qur’an (al-Nisa’ 4:159). And Allah knows best.

Invalid money?

Question:

Asalaamu Alaykum.
Recently I bought into a share, however now I have realised that the share company I had bought into is shariah non-compliant, what do I do with my profits Do I keep them as at the time I was unaware or do I give it away?

Answer:

As-Salamu ‘Alaikum,

In case where one has already accumulated money in ignorance, and he now wishes to dispose of that illegal money, the scholars are of the opinion that one may take this profit (similar to interest money) with the intention that he wants to rid himself of this evil gain, and give it away to some charity without seeking any reward from Allah SWT for this spending.

Good sign for whatever you asked, Allah knows best. Telling him “they’re expensive” means “I’m worth more than your consideration” and the kissing indicates you will have matters settled the way you want. .

regarding jinnat appearance in dream

Question:

In dream is it possble for jinnat to show in white cloth ?
In dream I saw someone in white cloth saying that I will go to foreign I always wanted to be in foreign am askng bcs I do have prblm wth jinnat. is he lying to me

Answer:

You cannot depend on information transmitted in a dream from a jinn or anyone else unless you see a Waliullah or a Prophet of Allah, in which case your dream may still need interpretation by a qualified dream interpreter. So do not depend at all on such dreams.

Seek out a guiding saint, murshid, and take baya` (initiation) with him in order to receive protection and guidance.
