Nobody gives me dua

When i see myself in the mirror I feel ugly and see no attraction in my face, it wasn’t like this a year ago. When I meet people they gaze at me with a dislike, nobody ever makes dua for me. Pls help.

Permissibility of Celebrating Urs (Death Anniversary) of Saints

What is the permissibility of celebrating a Urs of a saint? Was this a practice of Prophet SAW or the Tabieen? Some activities look like it comes from Hindu traditions e.g. carrying chaddar around anti-clockwise, placing of garlands etc.

Answer:

There is already more than plenty of material on this issue available online. Keep what does not cause you misgivings and avoid what causes you misgivings.

I am mureed. I want permission to visit spiritual healer, Peer Usman Ghani, Pakistan, to cure him by grace of Allah from autism. I heard that not asking for ruqya and having faith only in Allah makes person qualify for janna without judgement. What can I do?

Dear Sheikh, Salam Wailakum, I am suffering from black magic and job loss. I am not able to find a good job. I saw a dream I am reciting Ayat al-Kareema. Please advise the tabeer. Also I had a good job and I suddenly lost my job for a simple reason.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

In sha Allah your dunya will improve and your blessings will increase both in dunya and akhira. Recite Ayatul Kursi after every fardh salat, also in the morning and evening, and try and go back to work either in the same or a new job.

Mothers rights dying of cancer. Wife uses Islam to justify her my babies needs. Wife has no compassion. When I take care of mother wife says she comes first we need our own life im not working my brother takes care of me lost job so someone help. Solution

Answer:

Tell her you are taking care of her by taking care of your mother because Allah will treat her in the same way later in life as she treated her elders when she was young, so it is all one. Let her make an effort as it is only temporary, and on the other hand give her some
extra care and tenderness in order to strengthen her resolve and bring out the best in both of you. Keep your salat on time and recite your daily wird for divine support.

As salamou ‘alaykoum Shaykh,who does not know if he has committed a disbelieve during the day for example. He doubts only, should it do the shahada as a precaution otherwise he is a kafir? Baraka l-Lâhou fikoum

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,
Lack of knowledge does not form knowledge of anything nor any proof. Therefore he is still a Muslim. However, one should always make istighfar and repeat shahada to strengthen oneself and seek refuge in Allah from the whisperings of shaytan.

Parents accept proposal – dua needed

His parents accept it, my mother is unsure as they are from a different cultural background. His family have visited us once but my parents haven’t done anything since then. I really need the process to move forward, what do you recommend.

Answer:

Suggest to him to send a thoughtful gift and write the parents followed by another visit. It will increase familiarity, show them resolve and in sha Allah sway them in the best way.

How should I take this sign?

Istikhara…I am in Malaysia right now and I have not had much luck but a big project is headed my way in the mean time my brother wants me to come back to Dubai and I was not sure of the decision and he asked me to do istikhara prayer as I did and I ask Allah to show me the right way and when I slept I had a dream that my brother was in Malaysia in my house and in the beginning he was sad and later he smiled and surprised me with birthday kind of thing now I am confused does this mean I should go to Dubai or that means I should stay in Malaysia?

Answer:

Stay or go to where the big project is if it materializes for you. In sha Allah you will eventually reunite with your brother.

Question:

I was in a mosque with my sister and the rest of my family I think (I think it was Ramadan in the dream) We are sitting when all of a sudden both tall, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (younger) and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham (bit slimmer) appear in the corner and Mawlana Shaykh Nazim speaks in Arabic a minute and both vanish.

Answer:

The dream shows the strong spiritual presence of Awliya, specifically for us our beloved masters, in every pious gathering of dhikr and every masjid we pray in, by Allah’s permission and His immense favor.
