malicious gossip

Question:

One day I was extremely heart broken due to ill health & relatives trying to destroy my chances of marrying the one I love by starting scandals, mocking my genetic illness and spreading malicious gossip. That night I began reciting the tasbeeh of “Astagfirullah” & fell asleep. I then saw a vivid dream of HUGE very bright green fields that began expanding rapidly in size as far as I could see, the green colour kept intensifying & kept getting brighter too.

Answer:

Walaikum assalam,

Green in a dream has many positive meanings: Fertility, good harvest, longevity,  paradise and youth. It is also interpreted to mean submission to Allah’s will.

Allah knows best,

light and fragrance on passing

Question:

How can a person have a nice fragrant on him when he passes away and a exceedingly bright noor on his face?

Answer:

“When you smile to your brother’s face, it is charity.” This is an authentic hadith.

The Prophet (saws) followed this advice in his everyday life. Abd Allah b. al-Harith said: “I have never seen anyone more in the habit of smiling than Allah’s Messenger.” (Tirmidhi)

Even on the day he died, while lying in his sickbed, he did smile with a bright laughing smile with face full of light and a exceedingly bright noor on his face. This is according to Sahihs of al-Bukhari (639) and Muslim(636).

The Prophet (saws) saw a smile as a gift of joy, a gift whose substance is received by the heart – sound and pure heart.

If the smile is real the light or noor will be real and apparent on the face even when a person passes away.

Khalq

Question:

( Hakim Tirmidhi ) الخلق وعاء الدين

[The creation (human beings) are containers of the religion.]

Is the hadith reliable ?

Answer:

According to Suyuti in al Jami al Saghir, yes. In addition its meaning is confirmed by established proofs, among them the sound sahih hadiths: “I was sent for nothing other than to complete good character” and “People are vessels: the best of them in the time of ignorance are the best of them in Islam when they understand.”

And Allah knows best.

dressing code while praying

Question:

Hello, Is it ok to perform prayers and du`a with ihram but just lower part and be naked in upper body? Does it make angels and God angry with me?

Answer:

According to Everyday Fiqh (Vol. 1) by Abdul Aziz Kamal, published by Islamic Publications, according to the Hanafi school:

If any of the following seven prerequisites is ignored, the prayer will not be deemed to have been performed at all …Covering of SatarFor males it is the part of the body between the navel and the knee…

However, it is preferable for a man to cover his shoulders while in prayer.

The Prophet (s) said: “None of you should pray in a single garment without having part of it upon his shoulder.” [Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim]

Mother driving

Question:

AOA, I was sitting in the back seat of the car and mother was driving on a straight road but work was going on both sides, suddenly she faints or dies :( goes dark, takes her hand of steering. I take over repeatedly saying YA Allah madad so loudly. Love her :(

Answer:

بِسْم الله الرحمان الرحيم.

After salawatu’Llahi t’ala ala Nabiyy, and asking permission from my Shaykh, your dream reminds me of something Mawlana Shaykh Nazim once said, namely that, “work on dunya is never going to finish!  Our ancestors worked on it all their lives, and couldn’t finish, and we are the same.”  So, following that line, and Allah knows better and best, your dream is a sign to you to turn to Allah, not so much to dunya.  Your mother mother, may Allah bless her and give her every hasanat, here and hereafter, worked on it all her life.  Then it’s your turn, and then your children after you, to “take the wheel”.  Dunya won’t finish!  May Allah grant us a good understanding.

Wa salaam

Head being cut off

Question:

Asalamalaikum WaRahmatullahi Wabaraktuhu,
Somebody with a sword came up to me – I said if it is the will of my Shaykh so be it. The person sliced my neck with the sword but my head stayed in place and I could feel it healing.

Thank you.

Answer:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm

Wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh

It means that through the tarbiyya (spiritual training) of your Shaykh, you will reach real submission to Allah’s will, real tawakkul:

Awliyaullah said, Grandshaykh used to say, “We don’t want mureeds like those dead bodies in the hands of the one washing them, that say, please have mercy on us, turn us slowly, give us warm water. We want mureeds like the dead leaves of the trees. Wherever the wind takes them they go with taslimiyya. That is more submission than dead body. Still the dead body is complaining. We want mureeds that fall like leaves in the fall, submitting to the wind where it takes it, goes right, goes left, goes in fire, goes in water, but not complaining. That is highest level of submission. Don’t show your will in Allah’s presence. Don’t show your will in Prophet’s orders, the Prophet’s will comes first. Don’t who your will in front of your shaykh and your shaykh’s will comes first. And the last is rida to be satisfied with what Allah gave you.

Shaykh Hisham Kabbani’s suhba

And Allah knows best
