I am currently bayaah to a Shaykh from the Chishtiya tareeqa in Bangladesh. And I have been struggling through depression for few months as I have been in an affair with a girl. Lately there has been some weird stuff happening around me.

This has been happening a couple of times now, first time when I was 16.

It all started with me seeing the Prophet in my dream when I was around 10 years old.

In the dream the Prophet told me that I should “save his ummah“, and in my dream, people were running in panic as if there was a qayamah.

After that, when I was 16, I was swimming in the ocean, this is reality. I was very lonely and tired of my life, I had lost the love of my life, a girl named [private]. So I decided to take my life by drowning. So I held my breath for as long as I could and then started to swim down, so I wouldnt make it back up again. Thats when the weird stuff happened. Instead of drowning, when I reached bottom of the ocean I suddenly came up on top of the ocean. And I was very confused so I tried again and even the second time I didnt drown. Then I swear I could stand on the water, and then when I started to think that I was something special, I fell into the water again.

I didnt tell anyone about this. But after that, every year between Christmas and easter, there comes a period where I get a real spiritual boost and say and write stuff that I dont have any clue about. Its a lot related to the Prophet and the Mahdi, and the Prophet Isa and his mother Mariam (as).

And I dont really know whats happening. Every year I suddenly lose control, and then after a couple of months I gain control again and look back at my actions the last couple of months and I dont know where I get this knowledge from… I suddenly write a lot of poetry in English and Urdu and some in Arabic.

What should I do?  And what is happening to me?

You are ok, awliya are calling you to your true self. Find a true shaykh and take baya and then follow his guidance.

I am sinful person please excuse me for my bad adab.

Almost a year back my sister (with two kids) was suffering from black magic which had made her mentally sick and uncontrollable in strength. In internet found a wazifa at […] with Hazrat Shaykh Nazim (ra) ‘s name. Few days later Hazrat Bayazid Bistami (ra) came on horse in my dream. Then sister recovered in couple of weeks with also the help of our Murshid (ra) of Shattari order and other Awliyas.

From then I have been watching videos of Hazrat Shaykh Nazim(ra) and Hazrat Shaykh Hisham (ra). I am very much inclined to his teachings and trying to follow. I read in one of his replies that “Mawlana makes baya on behalf of all tariqas, and his baya covers every tariqah” at https://eshaykh.com/sufism/bayah-8/ . So can I become his follower and mureed if he is ok with accepting a sinner like me?

Alhamdulillah. Yes, you may take baya` (initiation) online with Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani at the Naqshbandi website.

In a suhbah given on January 4, 2014, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham (q) said:

In the previous times, they would not give baya` so easily and our shuyookh,  Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani (q), Grandshaykh `AbdAllah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani (q) and the entire Naqshbandi Golden Chain, were not authorized to give baya`. I remember that Grandshaykh (q) gave baya` to only two people and no one else, because baya` has conditions. You have to really study Shari`ah, meaning you must finish your courses of tafseer, hadith, Qur’an and fiqh. When you build your infrastructure is when they give you baya`.

So baya` is not so cheap, but when Grandshaykh (q) passed away and the tariqah came in the hand of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q), he traveled a lot and saw the great darkness that is spread across the world. He wanted everyone to be dressed with Allah’s Rahmah. So he was giving baya` to anyone who would come and ask for it, whether physically, by telephone, by website or by any of the representatives who are scattered all over the globe, as Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) has thousands of representatives. They are authorized to give baya` to spread that Rahmah. So this is a Rahmah that we are blessed with and that is why the baya` is now given without checking, only in the name of baya` that brings Rahmatullah. May Allah bless us, forgive us and accept from us. Bi hurmati ‘l-habeeb, bi hurmati ‘l-Fatihah.
