Ask for marriage

Question:

As-Salâmu ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa barakatu

I would like to ask in shaykh for the authorization to get married and I would like to know how can it be done ?

I’m Sorry but my english is very little :)

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

There is general permission to seek marriage. It is usually done via your family seeking a suitable partner for you from among the marriageable young people in your area. Their criterion should be first piety, then other considerations. Once you have found a suitable match it is important to get permission from your Shaykh to proceed with the nikah (marriage).

Dream: Time of Imam Mahdi

Dream:

Assalamu alaykum,
I remember in my dream that it was the time Imam Mahdi (as) has reappeared on earth. I was with some of the members of Ahlu Bayt (as) and we were on our way to go fight back and revenge for what happened to Imam Husayn (as). Unfortunately I didn’t see them but I knew they were with me. But I remember I did see Imam Husayn (as) and he was smiling at me when I looked at him.

Interpretation:

Insha-Allah it means you will reach the time of Mahdi (as) and be among his supporters against oppression, like Sayyidina al-Husayn (as), reviving the Way of our Prophet (s).

the Prophet’s Preferred Color

Question:

Asalam Alaikum respected Shuyukhs,

Please forgive my lack of adab,

I would like to ask what the favourite colour of Allah’s Beloved (s) is?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Some scholars say green was the Prophet’s favorite color and others say white.

See “The Green Turban and the Prophet’s (Peace Be Upon Him) Favorite Color” by Ustadh Abdullah Anik Misra, at Seeker’s Guidance website. We excerpt from it here:

Anas in Malik (r) is reported to have said:

“The most beloved of colors to the Messenger of Allah (s) was green.” [Tabarani, Mu`jam al-Awsat; al-Bazzar, Musnad]

Although this hadith by itself is weak in its chain, it is strengthened by a corroborating narration in which Anas and a group of people went out to a plot of land covered in vegetation, and so someone exclaimed, “How beautiful is this greenery!” Thereafter, Anas reminisced that, “We used to say that the Prophet’s (s) favorite color was green.” [al-Bayhaqi, Shu`ab al-Iman]

The main reason that scholars cite for this preference is that green will be the main color of the clothing of the people in Paradise: وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَابًا خُضْرًا (Surat al-Kahf, 18:31). It is also reported that the Prophet (s) used to like to gaze at the beauty of natural greenery.

The Prophet (s) said:

Wear white from amongst your clothes, for indeed they are amongst the best clothes you have, and shroud your dead in them (also). (Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah and Tirmidhi with variation in wording).

Based on this hadith, some scholars such as Ibn al-Qayyim inferred that the Prophet’s (s) favorite color was white, (Ibn al-Qayyim, Zad al-Ma’ad).

Dream: Dwarf and black cloth

Dream:

I dreamed that I am pulling a very long black cloth hanng along the whole neighbourhood and when I tried to pull was stuck then I started to pull and started to wind on my arms and became a bundle. Then suddenly an angry dwarf appeared trying to scare me and shouted that “I will blow on you and you will perish” and as he stopped to fill his chest with air I spat on his face he disappeared and I wokeup frightened.

Interpretation:

In sha Allah it is a good dream indicating wealth and prosperity for you. Give from yourself more sadaqa to make the way easier and eliminate difficulties (the angry dwarf) in your way. And Allah knows best.

Meaning of Aale Muhammad in Salawat

Question:

Salam alaykum Sheikh.
I would like to ask that what is the correct meaning of Aale Muhammad in Salawat. Does it mean family of Muhammad(peace be upon him) or does it mean righteous followers of Muhammad (peace be upon him) ?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Aali Muhammad in salawat means the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (s):

1) children and descendants;

2) wives;

3) The Banu Hashim and the Banu al-Muttalib.

We are ordered to invoke blessings on the Family of the Prophet including his wives. When the Companions asked the Prophet how they should invoke blessings on him, he said:

Say: “O Allah, bless Muhammad, his wives, and his offspring as you blessed Ibrahim; and further grant blessing on Muhammad, his wives, and his offspring, as you granted blessing on Ibrahim. Verily, Yours is all the Majesty and Glory.”

It is narrated by Bukhari with two chains, Nasa’i, Abu Dawud, Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and Malik.

However, as you mentioned, all of the Ummah maybe considered Aali Muhammad, but not in the technical sense (cannot receive zakat, etc.).

See “Who are Ahl al-Bayt” at the ASFA website for more details in answering this question.

Dream: Rescued a female cat

Dream:

Salaam! I dreamt I was at the apartment where I lived as a kid before we moved to our house. I noticed a kitten crouched by a Uhaul van. Concerned it would get run over, I ran to get it. It got scared and ran across a busy street. I paused at the van, out of breath, and noticed a dead warthog there. As I was about to go back inside, the kitten ran across the busy street again and jumped into my arms. I took it inside even though the landlord didn’t allow pets and told my parents I’d keep it for one night and find it a home tomorrow. At the end of my dream the kitten had grown into an adult female grey tabby, which I loved dearly. I have dreams about rescuing animals fairly often, but have never owned a pet. What does this mean?

Interpretation:

The dreams shows a guardian and helper for you to reach your spiritual target. Rescuing animals indicates you will be of service and help to people. And Allah knows best.

reciting quran sharif
reciting Quran Sharif

Dream:

I dreamed that I was going to the circus, where I was late. Everyone calling out my name and saying that I have nice voice, so therefore I have to recite the Holy Quran. So I join them and reciting the Quran by my heart with them together. After that I went home and suddenly I had a daughter (3 years old, which I lost long time ago in my dream). She is very pretty and she has light green eyes. My mum keeps telling me that I have to breastfeed her, but I don’t know how, still I try but it didn’t work out. After whenever I put my feet, I see verses of Quran on the floor. I keep trying to avoid them because of gunnah, but it didn’t work out. The verses of Quran are everywhere now and increase.

PS: In reality I know the 3 years old girl.

Interpretation:

Dream points to growing up, reading Qur’an and getting married and/or having children.

Dream: Masjid ul Haraam: istakhara dream

Dream:

I was making istakhara regarding the ignorance of somebody.

Day 1: I saw some stranger try to force me. I was wearing white dress, and as I struggled to free myself I saw blood on my dress. I got shocked, while I was running I saw blood puddles on floor, but didn’t know whose blood it was.

Day 2: I was at Masjidul-Haram with my mother and there was a lot of security. I was getting excited to go to the Kabah as soon, and that the entrance towards Kabah was below this floor. And that I was setting my hijab again and again.

Interpretation:

The first dream shows that the person is not being honest with you, while the second dream shows you will be protected and in safety. And Allah knows best.

3:97 Al-Imran (The Family of Imran)

(Y. Ali) In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.
