Request:
As’salamu aleikum,
Bissmillahi r-Rahmani r-Raheem.
I need advice/wazifa regarding my mum. I’ve written about her physical condition in a separate post. Many times she has been prescribed antidepressants but never taken them. For years she has been fighting this state. She feels low/isolated from others and when she tries to establish friendships with people it fails. She feels like no one understands/ will listen to her/her advice. She says it feels like being locked/tied. What pains her most is that she can’t do her prayers and ibadah. She feels drained, weak and lost and is asking what the cause is and what she can do to feel better.
Please pray for my mum and my family. Her name is [private]. I humbly ask you to keep both name and post private/not shown on eshaykh.com as I don’t wish my mum’s state to be openly disclosed.
JazakAllah
Wa salam aleikum

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem
wa `alaykum salam,
Inshaa-Allah, your mother may follow the advice given here. Please read Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani’s answer in the Post “Not happy, not married and depressed” about why most people today are not motivated to do anything.
