Maulana Shaykh Nazim & Maulana Shaykh Hisham As Salam o aliykum,
What is your opinion about taking bayah from one shaykh but also following aqeeda of another shaykh. Can it be possible to take bayah from 2 shaykhs or 3 shaykhs at one time with the intention of gaining knowledge & guidance. For e.g. if ones shaykh is very distant then to have a shaykh, teacher local for guidance. Can you be shed some light on this from Islamic perspective.

Alaykum Salam,
Bayaa of guidance (irshad) is only to one shaykh and no more. Bayaa of blessing (baraka) can be to 3,000 no problem. Aqida is only one, namely Ahlus Sunna wal Jamaa doctrine as practiced by Asharis and Maturidis including the Sufis.
