About Loud Dhikr

Question:

Salam aleykoum

Beloved Shouyoukhs ,i need your help ,

Many people say that in the traditional Naqshabandiya the Dhikr is done in silently, they also say that there is no Hadra. can you clarify these points, Barakaalh u Fikoum

salam

Answer:

Alaykum salam,
Book bound people will have those objections. In reality the madhhab of the student is his imam, and the tariqa of the novice is the Shaykh. Be lucky he does not say stand on your head inside a dried up well but instead he simply orders to stir up your tongue away from backbiting and nonsense and employ it in dhikr with all your strength. Moreover in the Naqshbandi Tariqa loud dhikr has been practiced by many authorities to wake people up from ghafla including Sayyid Amir Kulal the teacher of Shah Naqshband. Allah sanctify their souls and keep us in their company always.
