Assalamualaykum,
I have heard from many people that displaying pictures of shaykhs or family members in a house is not allowed but I have seen many people display pictures of their loved ones out of respect and not for worshiping or misusing it in any other way. I am just wondering, if a person displays a picture of their shaykh or family member only for the purpose of loving them, is this allowed?
