Shah Naqshband

Question:

Asalamu alaykum,

I wanted to ask a question on the saying of Hazrath Shah Naqshband `aleyhi rehma. One of the sayings of the great sheikh are a sheikh or murid or anyone who talks about a state which he has not reached Allah will forbid him from reaching that state.

Please sheikh sab could you please explain in detail the meaning? JazakAllah
wasalaam

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

One of the possible meanings is that if someone speaks about a state, he must have already attained it, or else he is only speaking theory and in that sense it is falsehood. Divine Justice says, having misled people to thinking he has reached that state, which is a form of riya (showing off), he is no longer permitted to taste that State.

And Allah knows best.
