I wake up, breathing hard and scared…

Question:

Assalamualaikum,
There is a particular spot in my room, the place where the long sofa is where I feel extremely restless if I fall asleep. Sometimes, I sleep there at night if my daughers come and sleep on my place in my bed. If I fall asleep, I get up from my sleeping, gasping for my breath and my heart pounding very hard as though I saw a nightmare but I didn’t. One day, I literally felt something beside me while I was sleeping and then I automatically got up feeling uncomfortable and went to my bed saying, “There’s something there that is not letting me sleep”. I’d like to have your opinion about this. My husband was away from the house and I couldn’t sleep for two nights! Neither on the sofa or my bed. When my husband came back, I could sleep peacefully. JZK!

Answer:
audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,
wa `alaykum salam,

Do not sleep there. Try to move the furniture. Keep wudu, pray 2 raka`ats and recite upon yourself before sleep Surat al-Ikhlas, Surat al-Falaq, Surat an-Nas and Ayat al-Kursi and blow on yourself. Also have your husband recite for you.  Recite audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem, Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem, 100 times as well. Seek intercession of Prophet and Awliya to take away negativity from your life and house.

Wa’Allahu a`lam.
