Islamic State

Question:

Salaam alaykum..
How is Shariah enforced in a true Islamic state? Because I know that no country is following the law as it should for example, there are many instances where true Islamic teachings upheld:
Iran and Saudi Arabia have the Mutawwa and Afghanistan don’t let women learn and Saudi Arabia don’t let women drive etc etc and many other things..

So they are obviously not representative of our religion.. But in a true Islamic state how would it be done? Like Hijab for example ..
jazakalllah khayr

Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
Shari`ah is to be freed from the control of the state. They are separate and the ideas of human rights and citizenship are more in line with the principal of Islam than with a supposedly Islamic state to enforce Shari`ah.
