Marriage to Sunni Girl

Question:

A few questions… First I want Sheikh Prays for me, second, I lived in [private]. I become a Naqshbandi Haqanni through internet, then I became Sunni Muslim. I even did not dare to contact sufilive because my email in my country was under control. I did not tell people in my country that I became Sunni, my finance and my mother know about it, but it would be too dangerous for me to expose it. Can I keep it hidden after my return to home?
I ask Sheikh to pray for me to stay a good muslim (or become so, because I am not no good), and I want him to pray for my rescue from a Shia country. and Can I marry a Shia girl, she is good by nature and tries to be a good Muslim. I love Mulana Sheilk Nazim, May Allah give him long life and guide me.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani is praying for you.

Yes, you are permitted to hide your Sunni faith in case of danger to yourself. You may do your worship in private and no need to mention being Sunni to anyone, as that may expose you to unnecessary danger.

You may insha-Allah marry Shia girl, if she loves you she will follow you.
