Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,
If you are not married, insha-Allah it is your wife. Don’t lose your perspective but try to balance your work with your family duties and your religious obligations. Our pious shuyukh advise to divide the day in thirds: 8 hours sleep, 8 hours work, 8 hours worship (family time counts as worship). And Allah knows best.

Dream: Shot by gun

Dream:

I had a dream that this guy I used to know broke into my house and shot me in the chest . I could see the hole in my chest and feel the bullet. I blacked out for a few a minutes and woke back up again still seeing the whole and feeling the bullet. Dream: Convertible car

Dream:

I dreamed that I along with my mother, we were testing a car. First her, then me. The same car. A man accompanied us, but it was not the seller, not even known. I realized that the car was for me too and was convertible. By lowering the hood, I needed help because he was arrested. without much effort. At one point, I started to drive and both my mother and the man claimed he need not have as much fear in driving the vehicle.

Dream: Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H)

Dream:

I saw Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) sitting very disturbed and tensed. He appeared to be in a very serious mood. There was also a little girl standing on His right side and it was the night time. Then I started praying and in Iqama after Surah Fatihah, I recited the first two ayat of Surah An-Nasr, and as soon as I finished the recitation the girl started laughing and smiling and I woke up from the dream thinking why I didn’t recited the whole Surah in prayers.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh,
The little girl represents the state of ihsan and her happiness, while you are reciting, is to encourage you to continue striving on the way of Allah (swt) by reading more Holy Quran, doing more dhikr and salawat.

As for the endless honor to see the Holy Prophet (s) in a dream, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani said:

Seeing the Prophet (s) in a dream means you will be relieved from seven difficulties in dunya and in akhirah. Also, Imam Suyuti (r) said that if you see the Prophet (s) in your dream, you will see him in reality before you leave dunya!

And Allah know best.

RE: Following one’s Guide

Question:

Can one follow his Guide in hopes of attaining ikhlas in worshipping Allah? That is implicitly speaking of the hopes of attaining a good end? Your answer would be greatly appreciated.
Jazakallahu khairan kathira.

Answer:

Yes. That’s the reason we have a Guide – he shows us the way to
Servanthood and this requires Ikhlas. Keep learning from our Shuyukh, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Shaykh Hisham and Shaykh Adnan, and you shall be fine.

Night time

Question:

Assalamu Alaikum,
I have got a question dear brothers, it says that some ibada’s are best done night, some my question is, when does that time begin, for example, when Isha is at 22:30 and Fajr begins at 03:10. Can I do my awrad, meditation etc before 12 midnight or do I have to wait till that time?
Shukran

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

You may perform your ‘Ibadah at any time, though preferred ones are
between Maghrib and ‘Isha, between before Fajr and after Fajr, and
between after ‘Asr and Maghrib. “Night time” here would largely depend
on the time of prayer, not the time on the clock. With the alternating
seasons, clock time may become redundant in this respect.

Praying salat correctly

Question:

Salam, I have recently started praying regularly. I am still on the process of learning it correctly. Sometimes I have trouble focusing while reciting the Surahs and other duas and keeping my thoughts clear. I wanted to know, being a woman, is it permissible for me to recite the Surahs and duas a bit loudly in the Salat? Most of the time I pray alone and indoor.

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam

Alhamdulillah, keep what you are doing now. Be advised that Shaytan
and our own Nafs keep playing with our minds in prayer – this happens
all the time. Just ignore these, don’t give any attention to them.

Since you’re praying alone and indoors, you may recite suffice that
your ears can hear. For women you need not recite loudly.

Cure for kibr, jealousy, self admiration

Question:

Assalamualaikum,
I am ashamed to say that I have developed pride and self admiration, especially related to knowledge. I don’t recall having these qualities before but now they are destroying my daily life and above all, my connection with Allah SWT. My heart has hardened, became more in-genuine (in speech too) and lost understanding of haqq. I’m try to go back to my old self but I get confused if I have the “pride of not having pride (humility).” I want to love for others what I love for myself, which I was able to do before but now I’m having a hard time doing so. My thoughts look at negative qualities of people more even though I’m trying to seek refuge in Allah SWT and correct my thinking. I feel this evil has entered me and has been taking control more and more of me ever since I became an adult. I feel doomed sometimes due to this. Kindly advise. JazakAllahKhair

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

Insha Allah, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham will pray for you. Taming the ego, suppressing one’s pride and arrogance, these take time and constant efforts. Please read this previous post for information on taming the ego.
