Crying during Muraqabah

Question:

Salaam to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Shaykh Hisham & all staff at eShaykh.

I recently took baya through the internet and have been doing muraqabah every night, Sometimes when I am sitting meditating I think about Allah and all the sins I have committed and I yearn to be closer to Allah and Shaykh – this often brings tears to my eyes & I just want to cry. Is this wrong? I try to stop myself because I feel as though the muraqabah should be a way of trying to reach Allah through Shaykh and not about repenting etc.

Also, I intend to do each step of muraqabah 40 days to gain as much as possible. When on my period I do muraqabah without the 2 rakaats – sometimes with wudhu sometimes without. What is the best way? Because I don’t want to miss a day from the 40 days

Answer:

Audhubillahiminashaytanirajeem
BismillahirRahmanirRahim:

Wa alaikum Salaam,

That urge to cry is correct and will draw you nearer to the Shaykh, Prophet (sws) and Allah (swt) by repentance. This is the reality of Tawba, turning to Allah that brings you under the intercessory power of the Shuyukh and Prophet (sws) and Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

There is no wudu during your monthly period. You can however keep zikr including tahlil, salawat and istighfar during your period, and meditation is okay. Wallahu Alam.

Dream: Ka`bah Descending from the Sky

Dream:

Asalaam Alaykum,

I had a dream and wondered if you could interperet the dream for me.
I was driving down a road when out of the sky the Kabba appeared to be coming down from the skies. As I turned round to take a look at it again it had disappeared and I saw a big bird flying around. Please could you tell me what this means.
Jazakhallah

Interpretation:

Bismillahir’Rahmanir”Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,
This can mean that you are going to make Hajj, insha-Allah.

Dream: Dogs and Flood

Dream:

As Salaamu alaykom wr wb Mawlana(q) and staff

I saw two dreams in the same night:

1) I saw two dogs, golden and black, but both long and six-legged
2) I saw my kids, husband and me, all of us, in flood water that was reaching up to our throats.

JazakAllah for the interpretation. Sayyidi(q), thank you for your presence in our lives :)

Interpretation:

Bismillahir’Rahmanir’Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,
This can mean that you are going through some difficulties with your family like
debts, or less income, etc. To save your family do the Zikr of Mawlana’s advice from Surat Al-Kahf (The Cave). Maa Sha’Allah, la quwatta illa billahi.

And Allah knows best.

Dream: Like Dooms Day

Dream:

I had this dream thrice, that the sun has suddenly changed into a black sun and was burning the earth. Everything that was in plastic was melting. Nobody could go out of their house because it was so hot out and that the metal handle of the door was so hot that they could not even touch it.

Please don’t reject it, give me a reply to this, I am really disturbed by this dream though I had it thrice in three consecutive days.

Interpretation:

This dream is a confirmation of prophet Muhammad’s (s) prediction about the big signs before judgement day. The sun burning the plastic, means that falsehood will be destroyed.

Allah knows best,
Ali Elsayed

Dream: Full Moon Everywhere

Dream:

Salaam Walikum,
I recently started reading namaz 5 times a day. A few months after, I had a dream where I’m with my mum and dad in a house. As we walk out we can see the moon. It’s a full moon and very big and close and everywhere we turn we see the moon. Then we sit in a car and the car is going very fast and crashes. The moon disappears at this point. Then the dream happens again.

Interpretation:

:

This dream indicates the presence of Awliya and their teaching you to discipline the body under their training.
Wallahu Alam.

Near Death Experience, Robotic Voice

Question:

esselamu aleykum,

My friend had near death experience after a serious car accident and in that state he says he had heard a metallic sound or robotic voice or like alien voice in the movies saying that “it’s not the time ” and after a while he woke up in hospital emergency room and he is ok now…My questions are can someone have a near death experience or can we call it exactly death experience rather than near that experience? What does it mean hearing robotic voice? Why it is robotic voice? Whose voice can be, voice of God or sound of angels, or all of this is illusions of the mind? Thank you for answer.

Answer:

Audhubillahiminshaytanirajeem
BismillahirRahmanirRahim
:

Wa alaikum Salaam,
Near death experience is a type of unveiling where the person tastes something of death and comes back to remember it in this life. This is likely her perception of the Angels speaking to her that she interpreted as ‘robotic’.

Performing Wudhu, Wiping over Feet

Question:

Asalamoalikum Sheikh Hisham,

May Allah bless you with a long healthy and happy life.
It is virtually impossible for me to wash my feet when performing wudhu at my workplace as there is no facilities for this. Would it be permissible for me to merely wipe over my socks or shoes with water to complete my wudhu?
Jazak Allah

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Most scholars hold the view that washing the feet is better as this is the principle. Hanbali School is of the view that wiping (khuffs or socks) is better as this is a concession.

Dream: White Birds wearing scarves

Dream:

Salaam Alaikum,

I had a dream in the early morning (before Fajr prayer). I dreamt that there were white birds in my house and they had red scarf on their heads. They looked beautiful so I put my hand towards one if them and the white bird sat on my hand. After sitting on my hand it flew up and sat on my head. What could be the meaning of this dream?

Thank you.
