Demande de prières pour se marier

Question:

Assalam alaykoum. Je suis une mère célibataire avec plusieurs enfants et je souhaiterais demander des prières pour pouvoir me marier avec une personne de confiance qui pourra me soutenir et suivant les enseignements de mawlana Sheikh Nazim. Merci.

Answer:

Waalaykoumoussalam warahmatoullah.

Voir https://sufilive.com/centers/

al-Ibriz of Sayyidi Abd al ‘Aziz Dabbagh

Question:

as-Salamu ‘Alaykum Shaykh Gibril,

Is the translation of al-Ibriz by John O’Kane & Bernd Radtke reliable?
Are there certain parts we need to be cautious of or should we avoid
the translation completely?

JazakAllah khayr

Answer:

Waalaykumussalam warahmatullah,
A better word would be beneficial per Imam Ahmad b. Hanbal’s word, “I never looked into a book except I benefited.” Here’s an arch-reader for dear eyes. As for the parts that demand caution then what human-made book is devoid of them? Allah knows best.

Sahih Muslim English translation

Question:

As-Salamu Alaykum Shaykh Gibril,

Is the English translation of Sahih Muslim, with Imam Nawawi’s commentary, by Adil Salahi a reliable translation? Or should one rather avoid it

JazakAllah khayr

Answer:

Waalaykumussalam warahmatullah,

Allah Most High gave a handful of Amir-al-Mu’minin-size scholars in the Umma the ability to plumb the depths of hadith mastership as well as comparative fiqh. Such figures reached the level of what was called mujtahid mutlaq (absolute mujtahid) even if they did not all necessarily practice it. Hence Imam Nawawi’s commentary on Imam Muslim’s Sahih, by agreement of the Umma, illustrated and transcended both the genres of Hadith diraya (applied understanding) and Shafi`i culture, and they were both self-effaced, perfectionist Godsends of the first rank.

An English translation of it would therefore require (i) a solid formation in both the rather vast above-mentioned genres (something like what they called istiqra’) at the feet of agreed-upon contemporary masters, (ii) uncommon experience in translating Hadith and Fiqh, and most importantly, (iii) intelligence of, and dedication to Nawawi’s transparent-thinking style and holistic vision. The result would approximate, even in English — with the help of Allah Almighty — the well-grounded Sunni schooling and jurisprudential-encyclopedic referentiality of his original. What better illustration of the Prophetic definition of Allah’s gift of the greatest good to an individual as “fiqh (deep intelligence) of the faith-system” (Bukhari and Muslim)?

Allah Most High and His Words, the Holy Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) and his words, Imam Muslim, Imam Nawawi (Allah have mercy on them) and their works therefore deserved the very highest caliber of selfless funders, ulama translators, and publishers to make such a translation for the ages shine as it ought, not for dunya vanity but as a lasting beautiful service — in sha Allah — to seekers of truth and knowledge from all walks of life and all kinds of specialization.

Allah knows best. We welcome such labor with open arms and we sincerely thank everyone involved.

Failing circle shapes very big balloons kind of objects made of flex sheets

Question:

I saw unusual circle shapes very big balloons kind of objects made of flex sheets failing from sky. I was in a car with my family and everyone was scared. I started recitation of Amana rasul last 2 ayats of surah baqarah 3 times.

Answer:

Allah swt says:

And, lo, they would say, ‘O God! If this. be indeed the truth from Thee, then rain down upon us stones from the skies, or inflict [some other] grievous suffering on us! (Surat al-Anfal, 8:32)

Allah’s punishment is raining down today on the earth in general and the only safety is in the verses you recited, Ayatul-Kursiyy and the 3 Quls, as well as in wearing the Taweez of Grandshaykh AbdAllah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani (q) and in recitation of the Holy Quran and Salawat upon the Holy Prophet (s) (i.e. Dala’il al-Khayrat and similar compilations) as prescribed by authorized Shaykhs. Allah knows best.

A faqeer/malang showed me a ring that was green on the outside but when i saw through it it was red.
Happy dream

Answer:

wa alaikum salam,

A warning that some things which appear religious, pure and blessed may in fact be Dajjalic (truth appears as falsehood and vice versa), in that they contain hidden sinning, especially when related to posts of power and influence. Allah knows best.

Scientific method of the Islamic ‘Golden’ Age

Question:

To what extent did Sufis or the Fuqaha accept the scientific method of the Islamic ‘Golden’ age?

Answer:

For us the Golden Age is as spelled out in the hadith:

خيرُ النّاسِ قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُم، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُم

“The best of people are my time, then those that follow them, then those that follow them.”

The rest of the hadith mentions that, after that, lying and liars will spread everywhere. So the Islamic Golden Age means the first three generations (an-Nabi (s) and the Sahaba, the Tabi`in and the Taba`a al-Tabi`in). The other definition is borrowed from the western over-veneration of material science and man-made systems of knowledge, like the term Renaissance referring to a Rebirth; of what? of Greek and Roman knowledge. As long as science and logic bow to revealed knowledge they are fine. But insofar as they divorce themselves from revealed knowledge they go against fitra and are hollow tin rather than a golden age.

72 sects and sawad azam

Question:

Asalamu alaikum. My two questions are for Sayidi Sheikh Gibril

1. Will the 72 unsaved sects be in the hellfire temporarily or forever?
2. Is the al-Sawad al-Azam referring to majority of Muslims or only majority of Sunni scholars?

Answer:

Waalaykumussalam warahmatullah,

1. Allah forgives all that is other than shirk (polytheism), so it is temporary for whatever sect did not follow something that qualifies as shirk.

2. It refers to both because the majority of Muslims follows the majority of the Sunni scholars and Allah knows best.
