How to train my ego?

Question:

I have several problems, can you please give me some baby steps to train my ego?
Also, I get rid of a bad habit but then I keep returning to it, what do I do?
How to get rid of laziness? I cant even overcome it to learn to read Quran etc etc

Answer:

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Overcoming the ego can not be accomplished through ones own power but rather through Divine Mercy, since Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, says in the Holy Qur’an that He created the nafs and purified it and inspired it with its piety. Therefore, the only solution to the nafs and disciplining it is to do abundant dhikr and salawat. That will open the door of connection to the Prophet, sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam, and Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, where eventually dhikr and Qur’an will overwhelm the ego into submission.

What does Sufism have to say on the concept of total annihilation of the self as is recognized in other traditions?

Answer:

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatuLlahi t’ala wa barakatu. This is a big question that believers have struggled with since the beginning. It is generally accepted in classical Islam (and in classical Sufism as well), that there is a boundary between the Lord and the servant. It has happened from time to time, that some persons experienced a state of ecstasy, in which they spoke of union with the Divine. When the experience passed, it was described as “unity of witnessing”, in which the servant was made to contemplate Heavenly realms, then returned to his ordinary state. Allah ta’ala knows best, wa RasouluLlah sallaLlahu alayhi wa salaam.

This subject is an ocean fraught with danger. Only the greatest of the awliya are competent to speak on it really, and mostly they keep quiet or speak allusively for fear people will not be able to understand. It is far beyond my level to say more than this. May Allah ta’ala grant us a good understanding, wa SallaLlahu ala Nabiyy. Again salaam.

Marriage purpose

My marriage is not fixing. Pls give me a solution for quick marriage with the grace of my Prophet and my Allah. Pls tell the wazifa or something else, and pls maintain the secret of my personal life… thank you.

Wa `alaykum assalam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuhu,

Maintain salawat, dhikr and Qur’an at all times inshaAllah and Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, will grant you a pious spouse who will most importantly be a cause for you to come closer to Allah (swt) and His Messenger, salla Allahu `alayhi wa sallim. It is important to know inshaAllah that whatever Allah (swt) is providing us with at the moment is the best for us inshaAllah.

Dream I saw on 4th Muharram

Question:

Pleaseee ask Syed Shahzaman to interpret this dream I saw on 4th Muharram: I saw myself and the man I wish to marry seated on sofas facing each other in my living room. My Dad is standing near the sofa upon which the man I love is sitting & is talking to him. I then look outside my window and see a bright, full moon beaming up in a clear sky.

I think to myself in the dream that the shining full moon looks so beautiful and that I should tell the man I want to marry to look at it too. Then the dream ends. Please kindly interpret this. Jazak – Allah.

Sallam Baba Ji, i am a girl i need help with my love to get my love back like before and get married or i will die or kill myself until i die i can not live this no longer i beg of you help me please.

Answer:

InshaAllah we will pray for you that Allah, subhanahu wa ta`la, chooses for you what is best and to descend His Mercy and Tranquility upon your heart and soul. Maintain abundant Qur’an, dhikr and salawat every day. Know that even though human beings are mortal and their emotions and love changes every moment, Allah, subhanahu wa ta`la and His Beloved, sallAllahu `alayhi wa sallim, are always there for us and when we direct our love towards them they return it infinitely more times until we are unable to love any more than them!

Dream about Mawlana Shaykh Hisham

Question:

I dreamed about colleague that was texting my future wife to be in the text it shows that the girl is non virgin and is a cheat then Shaykh Abdul Rahman appeared he didn’t want to answer following that Shaykh Hisham appeared asking me to take a pic of him.

Answer:

As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatuLlahi t’ala wa barakatu. Allah knows best, wa RasouluLlah sallaLlahu alayhi wa salaam, but this is a matter for you to exercise your best judgement. I don’t think you can condemn someone on account of a dream. Quran says you need four witnesses to the actual act. Even then the accused can deny the charge. Quran also warns against unjustly accusing a woman of being unchaste. An Islamic judge cannot use a dream to decide such a case, he can only use the actual evidence provided to him and testified to in front of him.

It may be that Shaykh Hisham was indicating that by “taking his picture”, it means to keep the Shari`ah firmly in your sight when deciding this matter, and not to rely on hearsay. Again, Allah knows best, wa RasouluLlah sallaLlahu alayhi wa salaam. May He make it easy for you and her to find the best way. Again, salaam.

My problems:
1. Biting, needle pricking all over body
2. Intensive biting pricking leads to headache (half forehead)
3. Productivity & brain power suffers
4. feel someone squeezing/pressing brain from both sides.
My mother also feel biting sometime

As salaamu alaikum. If you can, try to keep in wudu. At least, before you sleep, do a good wudu. If you can read Surah Jinn, do it one time before sleeping. If you can’t read it, you can play it on your phone or computer. It is available from many different sources, from many reciters. May Allah bless and help you. MY KIDS SAFETY DUA

Sheikh I kindly request you to make dua for my kids 2yrs and 5yrs old, Allah protect them and I get enough sustenance so that they wont miss anything in there life inshaalah. And may Allah give me long life with good health to see them grow inshaalah.
