Re: Istikhara

Dream:

I dream of a hill at night. I start ascending the hill in the moonlight. I reach the hilltop and it was dawn and the guy about whom I have done istikhara was standing there and searching for a job.

Walaikum as-Salam Wa Rahmatullah Wa barakatuhu

Interpretation:

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem

Insha Allah this means you will attain honor and dignity by marrying him. Looking for a job on top of mountain means he is not happy with small jobs and he is looking for high ranking job.

Daughters sexual abuse by police

Prayer Request:

Assalamu alaikum,

I believe that a police officer looked at my four year old daughter’s pubic area without my permission and while denying me to see or speak to her and my daughter also says that the police officer watched her urinate. Please pray for us.

Response:

Wa `alaikum as-Salam Wa Rahmatullah Wa barakatuhu

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

Recite everyday “Bismillahi ‘Lladhee laa yadurru ma` ismihi shayun fil-ardi wa laa fis-sama-e wa hua ‘s-Sami`u ‘l-`Aleem” 3x after sunrise and 3X after sunset.

Insha Allah your family will be protected by Allah’s Mercy.

Dream seen after reading nafls on the night of Shab – e – Barat

Dream:

The back and shoulders/arms of the man I want to marry touch my back and arms. It felt good. He turns around and tells my brother he wants to marry me, will take care of me and wants to speak to my father about marrying me. My brother looks surprised/worried.

Interpretation:

Wa `alaikum as-Salam Wa Rahmatullah Wa barakatuhu

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

The back symbolizes support. This means he will support you and you will support him.  The back also symbolises a child.

Allah will bless you with child through this marriage. So the whole thing is khair. Pray two raka`ts salatu nafil to thank Allah Rabbul-`alameen. Seeing this in Shabe-barat means Insha Allah this man will soon propose you.

‘Aqidah of sunnis- Lord without servants

Question:

Could you explain sh Nazim’s saying about Allah’s kingdom depending on the existence of His servants ( Mercy Océans p.13) ? ‘Aqidah a-tahawiya states : “ lahu ma’na rububiyatih wa la marbub” ” He possesses the Lordship without need of someone to be lord of.”

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Again an insinuated accusation without even the benefit of a quote.

We will quote what Mawlana said in its entirety first:

Allah Almighty is greatest. He is timeless, ever ready, without beginning. He is king.
And yet you cannot find a king without a kingdom. Without subjects his kingship has no meaning. Just as there can be no meaning for a prophet without an ummah (nation). Therefore, Allah was ready without beginning, and his servants also were ready without beginning. If there were no people, to whom was He Allah? Was it to Himself? No! A hadith relates: “I was a hidden treasure and wanted to be known.” His people were part of this treasure.

What Mawlana did not say is that Allah is obliged to have subjects, rather, he explains that the concept of kingship is irrelevant without them, in much the same way that saying Allah is Creator without creating is irrelevant, and Allah does not deal in irrelevancies, for that would be baatil. So while the `aqida says Allah is not obliged to have servants, nonetheless He does have servants, and since Allah is beyond time and space, that fact is a perpetual reality. In fact, it  is categorically obligatory to believe that the Divine Knowledge of Allah Most High includes, pre-eternally without beginning, the knowledge
that He will create His creatures; that is the sense to which Mawlana is
referring, just as Tahawi and many others did in their books of `aqida.

slaves in Islam

Question:

Aslamualaykum

Dear Shaykh Gibril

There is still one thing about this as I came across some websites which suggest that a slave owner could practise azl on the slave without permission. Is there any truth in this as it would in effect be rape?

Answer:

“Slavery is unlawful (1) in the absence of the Caliph of the Muslims AND (2) unless it results from captives following a lawful war.”

From: “Sex with slaves and women’s rights” by Shaykh Gibril Haddad, and

“A master was no more allowed by the law to rape his slave than a husband his wife.”

From “Sex slaves in Islam” by Shaykh Gibril Haddad.

Question:

Salam Ya shaykh,

Past 4 Months Back, I saw a dream in which I saw Shaykh Hisham Kabbani telling me ” to look hazrat Moosa alaihis salam ” but I cant able to see him, I say salam to him in response I felt a tree branch shake. Please pray for me.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Keep your muraqabah in-sha-Allah that will open. First step in levels of the heart is hearing, then sight.  If it does not open, know that your Shaykh grants your soul stations in dreams which you cannot attain in physical life and say “Thank you, ya Allah for such a great and beneficent Shaykh.”

Advice

Question:

Salam. I have a question about Bashair al Khayrat. Is it authentic? I began reciting it last year and out of love shared it with my family. I emailed it to my aunt and she showed it to someone and they told her its bidah because it had the shaykh’s name.

Answer:

It is a book of Salawat on the Prophet (s) so it is part of fulfilling the Divine and Prophetic obligation to bless the Prophet in every way possible. Allah Most High said, “Believers, bless him and greet him abundantly” and the Prophet (s) said to make ijtihad, meaning to do one’s best efforts, in sending blessings upon him. These are commands upon Muslims until the Day of Resurrection.
