Question:

Assalaam alaikum respected Shaykh

Can you please tell about the book ‘Naqsh e Sulaimaini‘. Its history.

Also can you please tell if it is halal.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

It appears to be a book of astrology and taskhir of spirits through letters and numbers, written in Urdu in the late 1800s by a Mawlana Ashraf Ali Laknawi, whom I did not find in Nuzhat al-Khawatir (an encyclopedia of the scholars of the Indian Subcontinent). Such a book is categorically not halal to look into for other than a pious alim, let alone to put into practice.

Join Salatul Tarawi Late

Question:

How to proceed when you arrive late to the masjid and the jamat is already praying tarawih. Should we pray salatul isha first alone and then join? Thanks and Salam.

Answer:

When you arrive late to the masjid and jam’at is already praying Taraaweeh prayer, you are to offer your Isha prayer first individually and then join the Imam for Taraaweeh.

Prayer Request: Marriage problem

Request:

Assalamu alaikum

I have got engaged 6 months before. She is loving me more than her parents and I also love her too. We both were too much happy also had decided to get married within few months but suddenly don’t know what went wrong now she is denying to marry with me. And she is telling I have used very wrong for her which I didn’t. Allah knows everything better I am not wrong. I am thinking someone had made her brainwash about me. I love her too much and I don’t want to loose her. Please pray for me in your dua also please advise any dua which I can pray to get her back into my life. I want to marry with her only.

Please pray for me I am in lot of tension and my whole family is suffering with this problem.

Removing skin flaws surgically allowed?

Question:

Like moles, skin tags, pimples, warts and other skin conditions is it halal to get rid of them? I looked online and a similar question about whether it is allowed to whiten teeth and the scholar said it is encourage to whiten because you are not changing the creation but restoring it. Answer:

If there is excess skin for no apparent reason it is permissible to remove it surgically in order to remove a blemish on the skin.

Dream about DAJJAL

Dream:

asalamualikum, I saw a dream that it is morning time and then automatically it becomes night then morning again, i go out of my house and see my sister tells me dajjal has come to out town he spared me and now he is going around looking for more people. she told me to go home then. please help me i want to know if this dream is bad or good. Thank you, JazakAllah khair.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm

Wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh,

It means that insh Allah you will be protected against dajjal and his army. You may try to recite or learn the first 10 and last 10 verses of Surah al-Kahf insh Allah as recommended by Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in his hadith.

First of all Ramadan Mubarak! My name is [private]. I am 2_ years old and from the Netherlands. I am an beginner in this Tariqah. In-sha-Allah I want to start Islamic studies after Ramadan. I saw there is the as-Siddique Institute in Burton and the Haqqani Institute in Lefke. I dont know how it works in these institutes. Maybe you could tell me more about it and maybe give me advice about the best place to go as beginner in-sha-Allah.

Answer:

Walaikumas Salam Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuhu
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

1. Please try praying 5 prayers on time.
2. Make ablution and after Salatul Isha, perform two rakat nawafil salah (namaz) in the intention to request Allah to solve your problem. Then recite any Darood Sharif 10 times and then raise your hands and recite Dua at-tawassul. After this, present your case and situation to Allah Almighty with your hands still raised. When finished talking to Allah, recite Darood shareef 10 times. That concludes your pleas to your Lord.

Dua at-tawassul: Allāhuma innī as’aluka wa atawajjahu ilayka bi nabīyyika Muħammad, Nabīyu ’r- raħmah, yā Muħammad inni atawajjahu bika ila rabbī fī ħājatī hādhihi li-tuqļā lī. Allāhumma shaffi¿hu fīyya”

“O Allah! I am asking You and turning to You through Your Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy. O Muhammad! [YA MUHAMMAD!] I am turning to My Lord, taking you as a means for my request to be granted. O Allah, grant me his intercession.”

3. You may repeat this as many days as you want until your problem is solved Insha Allah.

Permission for Hajj 2014

Secret in Abu Bakr RA Heart

Question:

Salam!
Is there any hadith or athar that Prophet sallallahu alaihe wasallam put the secret in Abu Bakr RA’s heart? Plz give me its references.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Athar of Bakr b. `Abd Allah al-Muzani: “Abu Bakr is not better than you because of praying or fasting more, but because of something that has firmly settled in his heart.” Narrated by al-Hakim al-Tirmidhi in Nawadir al-Usul.

Ibn Taymiyya in his Majmu` al-Fatawa (2:385) considered this “something” to consist in yaqin and iman while Mulla `Ali al-Qari said “It is something immutable, deep-rooted, continuous, and permanent, consisting in the remembrance of the Lord.”

Regardless of the above, it is mass-transmitted (mutawatir) that the best of creation after Prophets is Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (radiya Allahu `anh) and this is enough proof.
