Remarriage

Question:

Assalamu alaikum,

I got married [private] back and, Alhamdulillah, I gave birth to a baby boy the next year. But later on I found my husband is cheating me and I decided to divorce him. Now we both got divorced and my son is with me. My parents are forcing me for another marriage and a proposal has come that the person is ready to accept my son. That person wants to talk to me over the phone. He is telling me that he started seeing me as his wife and is talking about sex and all. I am not interested in such talks and my dad told him to send the details. After that no response from them. His dad and mom also spoke with us but now there is no response from them. Everyone is totally confused. Please suggest a solution for this.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

May Allah grant you contentment and protection through all your tests. Be patient and have trust, in sha Allah He will send you a better person so that you do not go through the same problem twice.

How to find out?

Question:

Assalamoualaykoum wa rahmatullah wabarakatuh,

How does one find out if there is black magic on them? A person like me with a series of bad luck finding work (Alhamdulillah for the bad and the good) despite numerous attempts. Is going to a tarot reader haram to find out such? What if there is no Muslim person in the state to figure such things? I  have done the basic black magic protection as suggested on site. I just want to be able to find work so I can help my family and move out. My parents are in their own world, my mom drinks alcohol and practice magic which she calls “white”, my father has his own family and doesn’t even call me and all iIwant is to find work inchallah an get married. Please guide me.

Jazakkallahu kairan.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Yes going to a tarot reader is haram. Keep salat and good ties with parents even if they cut ties with you. Continue saying alhamdulillah in all cases, that is proof there is no black magic on you. In sha Allah you will find work soon.

My husband has abused our children

Question:

Dear respected Shaikhs,

I am in a very difficult situation and need some help. Me and my husband are now separated. My daughter has always displayed disturbing behaviour of a sexual nature since she was very little. She is now 5 and says her daddy touched her bottom. I also have a son who is 2 and a daughter who is 1. They have also displayed similar behaviour. I have confronted my husband about this but he denies he has done anything and has sworn on the Quraan. My family is aware of my concerns towards the children but they do not believe me and say I am imagining things.

Please can Mawlana Shaikh Nazim explain what is the truth regarding this matter as my family is pressuring me to reconcile with my husband but I will never be able to trust him to be alone with the children.

Kind Regards.

Answer:

What you describe shows enough reason for distrust on your part, and
complete trust is needed for family life. The pressure should rather be
on your husband to set your heart at ease. Keep communication open, pray
istikhara and follow your heart.

Difference Betwen Faith and Belief

Question:

Assalam Alaikum Wa Rehmatullah,

In the sohba’s I see two titles, some says faith and another says belief, can you explain what is the main difference in both of these terms. I am unable to pick what is the correct translation for these two so I can understand clearly, also can you tell me if these two terms means aqeedah and iman. Please define it clearly so stupid’s like me can understand. Please give an example if possible to understand what is belief and faith.

Assalam Alaikum Wa Rehmatullah

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

They are generally synonymous and interchangeable. Strictly speaking belief is more generic while faith implies strong belief. Aqida comes from ‘aqd or knot/contract because it refers to what the heart has clinched upon and decided once and for all to follow. Iman is belief in Allah, the angels, the Prophets, etc.

What does “may Allah sanctify his secret” mean?

Question:

As salaam alaykum,

I don’t understand this phrase. What is meant by “the secret” if you can give me general idea of its parameters at least? What am I asking be sanctified?

And what does saying Ha Miiim in Hizb Al- Nasr do for one? Can it be said as a zikr in its own, and if so, to what purpose?

Fi Amanillah.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

It is an affirmation of respect for the content referred to in such verses as ‘truly Allah knows the contents of breasts’ with specific relation to the righteous of the Umma. By the same token it is a prayer for its principal ingredient namely sincerity. As for the Disjointed Letters in Qur’an they stand for many blessed meanings such as the Divine and Prophetic or angelic names, and more. Allah knows best.

Naqashabandi Tariqa

Question:

Asalamualaykum,

From the previous post https://eshaykh.com/halal_haram/naqshbandi-tariqa/

My intention in asking these questions is not to cause fitnah but to get clarification and I was interested in the tariqa.

Regarding shaking hands, if it were permissible then I would like to know why didn’t the Prophet (saw) do it as he was the best of examples?

I was reading this answer:
http://spa.qibla.com/issue_view.asp?HD=1&ID=2509&CATE=91

I am confused on why a scholar would fabricate hadiths. Did he do it unintentionally? If yes then explain how.

Could you explain why the below is an explanation of the verse you quoted. ‘Should you embark upon the Naqshbandi path, your colorful plumage will be clipped and replaced with the humble cloak of obscurity. For the main difference between the Naqshbandi Way and others is that while they are giving, we are taking away. Everything must go, even your…’

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Dr. Bin Bayyah’s website is quite accessible. As for the remainder of the queries I do not understand the relation of the questions to the URLs cited.

No legal punishment for adultery & drinking?

Question:

Assalam Alikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakah,

A question was asked about repentance for adultery & drinking. Mawlana Sh. Haddad, while answering wrote: “There is no legal punishment (hadd) for these offenses in our time. However, the following four are required…”

The answer is available at: http://spa.qibla.com/issue_view.asp?HD=1&ID=823&CATE=3 and http://www.livingislam.org/fiqhi/sp1-gfh_e.html#5

I would like to have a brief clarification of this sentence used by Shaykh Haddad. Does not hadd apply for Zina & drinking? What does the use of the phrase “no legal punishment for these offenses in our time” signify? A theological response would be much appreciated.

Thanks for answering and please forgive our lack of adab. May Allah bless you eternally and may he raise the maqam of our shuyukh.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Only the caliph and his appointee have the right to apply the hadd. In their absence it cannot be and is not applied

Dream: Someone robbed me

Dream:

Assalamoaleikum,

Last night after Fajr salah I had really scary dream that I could not forget.

I dreamt that someone wanted to rob me, I tried to run away but there were so many. They took me to a place where I saw another brother and a hijabi sister. They took about 4 or 5 phones from him, from me they took my wallet, in it was my drivers license and my bank card and my phone (I wasn’t so worried because I hadn’t had much) and there was a hijabi sister and I saw her now without hijab. After the robbery I was sitting alone waiting.

Could you interpret this dream please?

Jazakallah khair

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,

Loss of worldly items in dream is a good sign. Give zakat in full and sadaqa.

2nd – I was eating sweets.
3rd – I was reading “subhan al lazi sakhar lana haza wama kunna lahu muqrineen”
4th – I saw a very beautiful and well furnished house where I was alone and suddenly I started reading Ayat-al-Kursi
5th – I saw a mud house which had no roof and I was cleaning the dirt, but outside each door were dead peacocks.
6th – Yesterday I had a dream that cockroaches were crawling on my back and later I saw a beautiful baby girl and I was breastfeeding and I was producing lot of milk and I felt like vomiting in my dream as I was feeding.

There is a proposal waiting and I am also doing a wazifa which is for 51 days and today is 39th day and in this period. I’ve had many dreams.

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,

Holding a moon is a very good sign and that is enough.
