Prayer Request: Pass an exam

Request:

Aslaam Alaykum ya Sayyidi,

I did an exam last year and failed it, retook it and failed it again. I am now doing it a third time and with your duas Sayyidi I will get higher than 50%, as 50% is the pass rate. The exam will be in April. Is there anything that you could advise me to do?

Thank you Sayyidi,

JazakhAllah Khair

Dream: Rice Pudding decorated with pistachio

Dream:

Assalam Alaikum Wa Rehmatullah,

Respected Brother and Lovely Shaykh Nazim and Shaykh Hisham, My mother saw a dream on 10th Moharam that she has made a rice pudding (kheer) and has decorated it with green pistachio and silver foil paper(used for decoration on the edible food, like sweets etc). Her mother and sister is viewing his rice pudding and my mother told them do not touch it until it is cold then she will allow them to eat it. So her mother says that OK we won’t touch it until it cools down, but don’t forget to offer us the pudding after it is cool down and ready to eat.

Assalam Alaikum Wa Rehmatullah

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi, wa barakutuh,

That dream shows her prayer was highly acceptable in the Divine Presence and was so high level and blessed that before its effect could be distributed to your family it had to ‘cool down’.

Allah knows best.

How to get training under Maulana Sheykh Nazim al Haqqani

Question:

Assalaam Alaikum my respected Sheykhs!

I am from the Maldives and I am unable to visit MSN. But I love him and would love to become his mureed. But I am concerned because though I take online bayya I know I am not able to get suhubath or training under my sheikh. Since training under a sheikh is a must, how is it possible for me to get training and guidance under MSN while I am here in the Maldives? Since a murshid is a must and to get suhubath to be with murshid physically is a must. How is it possible for me? May I visit Cyprus for physical training under my sheikh?

Salaams to all sheikhs.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

You may visit Cyprus for physical training under your shaykh but know you may not get to meet with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim privately, due to his health conditions. Therefore there are assigned caliphas who are designated “trainers” and it is not, as you have stated, a must to get training direct from the shaykh.

Prayer Request: Want to go abroad

Question:

Asalamalikum,

I am presently unemployed and want to leave my country and settle down somewhere abroad. I am always depressed and anxious and just want to go somewhere far. Kindly suggest some dua which can help me in settling abroad.

Regards.

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

How are you going somewhere to settle down when you are unemployed?

Recite HasbiyAllah wa ni`ma ‘l-Wakil 100-300 times daily. Insha Allah, a door shall be opened for you to find a good job with Halal income. Perhaps after you’ve saved enough you may request again to settle somewhere else.

Dua Request

Question:

Asdalamu alaikum,

Please give me a dua to break black magic done on my child’s father which has led to our divorce and him never meeting our child and having any contact. Also can I get permission to recite dua Dawood please.

Answer:

Wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is praying for you.

This is the general prescription for protection from Jinn:

1. Recite the Du`a of Ayat al-Kursi once a day
2. Recite Ayat al-Kursi itself 3x a day
3. Wear the tawiz of Grandshaykh `Abdullah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani (q)

In addition Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani recommends to recite Salawat
al-Fatih
daily.

Insha-Allah there is permission for du`a Hazrat Dawud (as).

Sibling Stress

Question:

Asalamualaikum respected Shiekhs,

I’m concerned about the youngest of my siblings, she is 16 years of age. She is completely of the rails and away from Islam. On many occasions I have tried talking to her and making her pray but she’s not interested. She is dating and committing zina. She knows my parents will never approve of their marriage as the boy is not a good match; he drinks, smokes and does not study. She has sworn on the Quran but is still continuing this shameful behavior. I know it is wrong to spy, but I have been having to keep an eye on her as I am the only person who can help her. It has come to a point where I have had enough. It would kill my parents if they found out about this.

Please help me as I do not know what to do anymore.

W salaam.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Firstly, her swearing by the Qur’an is not accepted and it has no weight, so do not worry.

Secondly, get professional assistance from social services, counsellors, educators, mosques etc. They can assist the subject and advise the family (stakeholders) how to lend support and encouragement. We may be family members but we may not necessarily be aware of the causes or in the know how to deal with certain issues. There is all to gain for your family and nothing to lose in getting such help.

Thirdly, always make du’a for your sister. A loving and positive environment at home always helps maintain a strong family unit. A family that prays together stays together. You may recite Ya Quddus, Ya Salam, Ya Allah, and Ya Halim 100 times each daily, and Insha Allah she’ll change.

Dream about Rasool Allah, salla allahu alayhi sallam

Question:

Assalamu ‘Alaykum,

I had a strange dream that its keeping me very scared. I saw a group of non believers walking on a street screaming exactly this: ‘Kill Rasool Allah. Kill Rasool Allah. Salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam.‘ I was mad and killed all of them and I see their pieces floating on a pond of water while I stir the pieces. After that I see other non believers running looking for who kill them and I was standing there on front of them watching but no one knew it was me. And the day after I dreamed that leaves from a tree where falling in my head on fire, but I was not hurt. What do you think it means?

May Allah inshah Allah Reward your time.

Answer:

Wa `alaykum salam,

It means Shaytan is angry that you are following the Path of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) and you have defeated him and his soldiers and signifies you are under strong protection of the Holy Qur’an. Keep reciting it and be strong on the Sunnah, and Allah knows best.

Validity of a marriage

Question:

Assalamu alaikum,

I have a question about intentions. If a man does zina without knowing it is zina because of an invalid marriage done without the girl’s wali, is he considered a zaani in the sariah? Also his intentions were pure and he thought it was a valid marriage.

Jazakallahu khair

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

An act done in error is excused. This practice should not become a habit as it may lead to sins with grave consequences. A sincere tawbah and istighfar is mandatory and should be accompanied by sadaqah.

Al-Ibriz and accusation

Question:

Is Shaykh Ibn al-Mubarak’s book ‘al-Ibriz’ a reliable work of tasawwuf? People often criticize it for being “shameless” on account of some stories contained in it, such as the one where Shaykh Dabbagh reprimands one disciple for sleeping with his wife while another one of his wives is in the room. When the disciple asks the shaykh how he learnt of this, he says, “Who do you think was in the other bed?”, suggesting that he was miraculously present but invisible.

Answer:

Shaykh Abd al-Aziz Dabbagh died before the age of 40, he was humble and never married, he had a pure soul and led a blameless life, he never cared about the pleasures and treasures of this world, he was illiterate but because of his truthfulness Allah opened up to him the secrets of heaven and earth, may Allah be well-pleased with him and grant him the Highest Paradise.

“Who do you think was in the other bed” is a rhetorical question plus hyperbole to emphasize to the student that on that night the suffering and humiliation of the second wife was felt by his shaykh to the core, in all its intensity, and the shaykh was so angry with him, so he should feel shame, shame, shame before his shaykh, and before Prophet (saw), and
before the angels, and before Awliya and before Allah Most High.

Our shaykh is nearer to us than our own soul but we harm our own soul and our kith and kin, our children and communities, and people at large constantly. We wander more aimlessly than the blindest of the blind, harming and hurting others without mercy like a feral beast, and then we puff up thinking we know some sacred law, or own some spiritual title and position, and we turn around and start blaming Awliya like the shaytan we have become. Subhan Allah.
