Dream: Death and shahada

Question:

Asalaamu wa alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatahu,

Last night was probably the third time I have had this sort of dream.

I am falling from a height, I am about to die, and I acknowledge this. As I am falling I am reciting the shahada, knowing that I only have a few seconds left to live; my death is imminent.
Last night I dreamt I was falling from a stair case. The time before, some months back, I dreamt it was a car going over a cliff. The time before, I dreamt it was a plane I was falling from. I never hit the ground, as I’m too scared by the dream I always wake up.

I hope you can interpret this for me.

Jazakallah khair

Answer:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa alaykumusalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

This dream can mean that a charity is needed to change this outcome. To block this kind of dream put coins everyday in a container before you go out. When the container is full, then give those coins to a needy person and repeat again.

Insha’Allah you will see things changing.

And Allah(awj) knows best.

Mistake in Isha congregation

Question:

Assalaamualaikum to all,

I was recently asked to lead a prayer which I accepted with fear as I heard that those with missed prayers should avoid leading prayers and also I was afraid I was going to lead them wrong.

I lead the Isha prayer silently and then got told afterwards that I should have lead it silently. Out of embarrassment I lied to get out of the embarrassment.

Was that prayer accepted and is there a way to repent for my sin? Please pray for my parents and me.

Salaat and salaams on Prophet (S.A.W) and his family!

Assalaamualaikum

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

In your case, avoid leading prayers for the time being, and take the opportunity to learn more on Fard ‘Ain.

Dream: Getting pregnant of a monkey

Dream:

Salamaleykoum,

Few days ago I dreamt that I become pregnant but instead of having a human baby, it’s a monkey that grows inside my tummy. Then when it is the time for me to deliver the baby monkey, my doctor insists me having normal birth, while I am so afraid of normal birth then I ask for caesarean.

It worries me so. Could you please tell me the interpretation? Thank you.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa alaykumusalaam,

This dream can mean that you may become involved in some business affairs or a project that may involve illegal activities, and you like to have no part of it. The dikr for this is Wa ufawwidu amri ila Allah inn-Allaha baseerun bil-`ibad at least 300 times a day. Insha’Allah things will change.

And Allah(swt) knows best.

Dream: Imam Husayn(A.S)

Dream:

Assalamu Alaykum,

In my dream it was the time of Imam Mahdi and I was on my my way to Karbala to revenge what happened to Imam Husayn. I was walking there with some of the members of Ahlul Bayt but I did not see them. I did see Imam Husayn and he was smiling at me.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa alaykumusalaam,

This dream can mean that Ahlul Bayt are not in favor of revenge that is why they did not go, but to love Hussayn (alayhis’Salaam) is acceptable (represented by the smile).

And Allah(swt) knows best.

Divorce/separation

Question:

Salam – my wife and I have been married for 15 years and have two girls. We had an arranged marriage at a young age. She has been obsessed with getting a degree and has been spending many hours away from home. I asked her to take some time to look after the kids and the house and set a good example for the kids by praying on time. She tells me that I am emotionally abusing her and I am keeping her from achieving her dreams and the only solution is for us to separate. Arguments have led her to hit me couple of times. My questions for Shaikh are:

1) What should I do in this situation?
2) According to shariah, is separate living allowed? What’s my responsibility?
3) According to shariah, in case of divorce can I fight to raise my kids?

Answer:

Wa Alaykum Salam,

Try to reconcile with your wife. If she persists in disobedience towards you then it is more appropriate to divorce her as there is no good for you to keep a wife who does not hesitate to hit her husband.

Can a Haji perform Nikah?

Question:

As salaam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatahu,

My question is if we are unable to find a molvi to perform nikah then can a Haji who is the bridegroom’s father perform nikah?

JazakAllah Khayran

Answer:

Wa Alaykum Salam WR WB,

Yes, it will be permissible. However, it will be advisable that the guardian or a pious and respectable figure who is capable of performing the nikah ceremony perform it. Additionally, it should ensured that the rites are carried out in accordance to Shariah and all un-Islamic action are avoided.
