Dream: Group of black robes

Dream:

I have dreamed of when I was teenager in a mosque, between time Dzuhur to Ashar. I have dreamed of being chased by a bear and I escaped through a tunnel. When I alighted from the tunnel, I found I was in the pulpit, and I saw the Prophet dressed in black robes and a black turban under the pulpit is explaining something to the other man… Next I was brought to a man who too my friend’s hand and lead him to an unknown place or prayer. I yelled out the call to prayer, and the next prayer is completed. Suddenly my friend surprised me to prayer, and I feel that I’ve been prayers, oh … I had a dream. I wake up and get ready for adzan and prayer.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham said about the endless honor to see Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in a dream : “Seeing the Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in a dream means you will be relieved from seven difficulties in dunya and in akhirah. Also, Imam Suyuti (r) said that if you see the Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in your dream, you will see him in reality before you leave dunya! ”

Increase your daily recitation of salawat on Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) insh Allah. And Allah knows best.

Christmas lessons

Question:

Assalamu Alikum Dear Shakyh Gibrill F Haddad.

Please see link below, this person has written against you many times on this forum, are you able to respond?

http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/showthread.php?72600-Christmas-Lessons!-Prophet-s-Birthday&p=637557&highlight=#post637557

Whatever the response be, you are one of the greatest shakyhs I ever come across ( I wish I can meet you!), May Allah forgive you, guide you and grant you Jannah!

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,

Regarding the statement:

<<{Narrated as part of a longer hadith from Anas by al-Nasa’i with a sound chain}: Note, he does not mention who considered the chain of al-Nasa’i sound. Al-Nasa’i’s chain of narration contains two narrators that were criticised: Yazid ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Malik (d. 130 H) of whom al-‘Asqalani said “reliable, sometimes erring” (saduq rubama wahim) (Taqrib) and Ya’qub ibn Sufyan said “there is weakness in his hadith” (fi hadithihi lin), although other narrator-critics praised him.>>

This is an Albani-type selection of what fits their agenda in trying to discredit a hadith narrator. In reality Yazid b. `Abd al-Rahman b. Malik is “trustworthy” (thiqa) by general agreement, period. This was declared by Abu Hatim al-Razi, al-Daraqutni, al-Bazzar, al-Barqani, Ibn Hibban and al-Mundhiri so the lone aspersion by Ya`qub b. Sufyan should not
have been promoted as if it were the last word when in fact it is not taken into account. Hence al-Arna’ut in Tahrir al-Taqrib rejects Ibn Hajar’s verdict of “truthful, sometimes erring” and states: “Rather, he is trustworthy (thiqa) and a faqih.”

Then the objector goes on to try to discredit another narrator of the same hadith, Makhlad ibn Yazid — one of the narrators of al-Bukhari and Muslim. Such elementary mistakes are committed on a regular basis by self-made “analyzers” due to over-reliance on Ibn Hajar’s Taqrib, which was never meant to be a precise tool for narrator-criticism. (See Tahrir
al-Taqrib
on Makhlad also.)

Hence al-Wallawi, the author of the 40-volume commentary on al-Nasa’i’s
Sunan entitled Dhakhirat al-`Uqba fi Sharh al-Mujtaba, graded this hadith as sahih.

There is more to say about the objector’s ignorance of hadith but the above is enough.

I had stated that “the prescription of the commemoration of the birth of Christ *was* prescribed in the early Christian Church,” to which that person objected:

“Christmas was not among the earliest festivals of the Church…” The Encyclopaedia goes on to mention that the first time it was celebrated was two centuries after Christ.

So he admits that Christmas was celebrated two centuries after Christ, which means at the time of the early Christian Church, which is defined as the period from the first to the fourth century CE. Furthermore, the actual commemoration of the birth of Christ occurs even within the text of the Injil and actually forms 10% of the entire Gospel of Luke.

Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron built by Caliph Umar ?

Question:

I have read that it was Caliph Umar(r) in 637AD, who built a roof or a mosque over the cave of Patriarchs. The Crusaders then later converted into a church and was restored back to Muslim control by Saladin.

Do we have any reliable historical references especially from Muslim sources, to prove that Umar (ra) did build a roof or mosque over the cave of Patriarchs, now called Ibrahimi Mosque?

Answer:

I have not been able to find proof of this claim; indeed the sources are remarkably short on historical details regarding the conquest of al-Khalil.

Dream: To meet our Prophet Mohammad Sallalahou Alayhi Wa Salaam

Dream:

I had a dream that Shaikh Nazim Hakkani came to my mum place with his mureeds he asked me to take him to a garden where we should go together to meet Rasool SAW. That night I tried to get a transport to take us but nobody was willing to help. So he waited and left but when he left in my dream I was asking to myself which garden should I go the nearby one or the big botanical garden I forgot to ask shaikh.

May Allah give our shaikh a long and healthy life ahead, Ameen.

Kindly interpret

Jazakhallah khair

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

This dream could mean that you are searching for a dhikr, represented by the garden. A long dhikr or small dhikr of darood shareef is your choice.  Try in between.

And Allah (awj) knows best.

Marriage needs saving

Question:

Assalamu-Alaykum,

Please forgive my bad adab.
I have been married for a few years and have recently been struggling to keep on good terms with my wife. She is very unhappy and we have been having many fights, and I even have to fight her to make her 5 daily prayers. Before we were married I know that she made all her prayers on-time and did many nafel things.

My question is: Is it permissible to divorce my wife if I know that it will get her to do these things again and make her happy again?

Answer:

Wa `Alaykum Salam,

Talk things out as adults between you both. Try to find out what’s been keeping her from praying, on time even. Get professional assistance like a counselor or religious teacher to advise. Find a mutual solution and stick to it.

As always do not forget to pray for your wife that Allah Almighty shall change her heart and continue to fill your hearts with love for each other. If all endeavours fail your expectation, then write to us again with your situation and we shall advise accordingly.

Awrad and mother’s criticism

Question:

Assalamu’alaikum dear Shaykhs.

1) I have been doing the daily awrad without fail (although it sometimes feels difficult) since February this year and would like seek permission to progress to the awrad for the prepared. I attend weekly zikir here in Singapore but feel shy to ask the shaykh.
2) I have two aunts who are interested to perform non-obligatory prayers other than salat Tahajjud and Tasbeeh but my mother frowns when I teach them salat like Najat, Shukr, and a few others I learnt as a mureed of Shaykh Nazim. She also said, “My Ustaz taught us just to perform the prayers done by the Prophet (Tahajjud and Tasbeeh) and nothing else that are new inventions.” None of my family actually know that I learnt all this from the Naqshbandi. My aunts are eager to learn and receptive but I need advice how to reply to my mother.

Answer:

Wa `alaykum Salam,

1) Yes you may but after ‘Eid al-Adha.

2) Tell her kindly and respectfully that those prayers are not innovation. This have been passed on from one Shaykh to another Shaykh via a direct chain of transmission from the Prophet s.a.w., with the ijazah or permission been given by the Mufti and Shaykh al-Islam of Cyprus the ‘Arif billah, Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Hanafi al-Haqqani who is renown in the Middle East as a Faqih in Hanafi Fiqh as well as in Shafi’i Fiqh.

Permission about Taweez

Question:

I would like to ask permission to write Naqshbandi Taweez by hand.
Which type of ink can be used to write it by hand? If I get the permission to write the Taweez then would I be allowed to give permission to others?

Answer:

You have permission to write it as long as you can do so correctly. As for the modality and conditions read Mawlana Shaykh Hisham’s description here.
