Question:

Aslamu Alaykum Sheikh.
I have problems with my parents and they have problems with me, they have made my life so hard, they pray they fast and do everything else but they still into the worldly things, they live for the creation but I want to live for the creator I want every sec of mine spent in ALLAH (s) zikar and shukar, when I am cooking cleaning I read tasbih at same time and my mother shouted at me today and my father said there is no point me reading if I cannot respect them. I know everything has a wisdom behind it but I wish I was born in a religious family. Please pray that I get married as soon as possible with a religious man, remember me and the followers of our beloved Prophet Salallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam in your duas please.

Prayer Request: Please help me, my family is falling apart

Request:

Ya shaykh, Assalamu alaikum.

I am in tears as I write this. Please forgive me for my bad adab. Ya shaykh,  in Ramadhan Allah SWT blessed me with a beautiful baby, but since my life has been filled with troubles and worries. There have been too many arguments between my husband and family members. I have been reading the wazaif and kept distance but things are getting worse day by day. Now my husband cannot control his anger and does not trust my mum.

Please, I request Sultan Ul Awliya Maulana Shaykh Nazim, may Allah grant him health to make dua for me. Within a short amount of time my life has turned upside down. Please advise me how can I help this situation. My sincere duas are with you all for your service. Wasalaam

Prayer Request: Female jinn issue

Assalamu Aleykum,

Please brothers and sisters, remember me in your dua’a. I’ve been fighting a female jinn for a year now. She made me really sick–western medicine says I am OK; constant dizziness, balance problem, and eye floaters, and irregular heart beats just one week I tried to get married.

I am doing ruqyah and hope to get better with Allah swt ‘s will and all the prayers.

Prayer Request: Son still beats me!

Salamu alaykum ya shaykh Hisham,
Urgent! I am in urgent need of dua. I post many requests about my disobeying son who is a teenager . Every day we fight, but today it become worse. He beat me for the 4th time now and I called the police this time because he broke my finger this time. I can not handle this anymore. He breaks everything in the house. Nobody can handle his anger, illa Allah. I ask you very humble ya shaykh Hisham, I need your dua please urgently. Ask Allah swt that my son never beat me again. I forgave him many times but now I leave it to Allah (all the posts of disobeying son is mine and I am very ashamed). May Allah send you shaykh Hisham and shaykh Nazim to me, Ya Rabb. Ameen

Abuse

Question:

Ever since I can remember my mother has physically abused me. She has beaten me with a bamboo stick to such an extent that it broke upon impact on my skin she has hit me with a hot pan she has attempted stabbing me with scissors,knifes etc.I was just wondering what Islam says about this? I’m thinking of once I]m at uni to never return home or have contact with her again? Would Allah be angry at me for doing so? Cause I’m scared Allah will punish me for not fulfilling my duty towards her but I don’t understand why I should have to?

Answer:

If she did and is as you say then you do not have to be with her. You can respect her from a distance that does not put you in harm’s way if being near her means she might harm you. Recite “Ya Jabbar” x100 daily to the intention of her mending her state.

Prayer Request: My selfish brother

Assalam o alaykum to all Sheiks.
My younger brother [private] is nearly 35 years old. He is a very selfish guy. He does not want to do anything in house work as well as in study. He is only wasting his time for watching TV and relaxing. Easily angry and talk very rude to parent. Always trying to find other people’s mistakes. We all want he gets success in his life but he always against us.
Please pray for him so he can be better person for parent /others especially for himself.

Forbearance

Question:

As salaam alaykum,
What does forbearance actually mean? I am angry with most neighbours and colleagues around me. When I was patient and softer with them,they behaved so badly I now loathe them and see them with anger. My brother is selfish and leaves all family responsibilities to me. My parents over-involve themselves with others who take advantage and are rude to them and me. I feel trapped and as a result I hate. But when I look up forbearance, all I see is to do it,but not how, nor if it’ll build my self-respect, which is getting worn down by all this stress. How do I practice forbearance & balance it with proper personal boundaries.

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,
Spend time (suhba) with the people of forbearance, make dhikr with them and their followers and you will end up like them in sha Allah.

Dream: Fighting criminals

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wabrakatuhu,

Lately I often have vivid dreams where I seek out criminals, fight them, and sometimes kill them. Then I wake up panting.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa alaykumasalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

This dream can mean that you might be taking on other people’s problems and trying to solve them. The dhikr to remove these worries is to say ”Wa ufawwidu amriy il-Allah, inn-Allaha basirun bil-`ibad” at least 300 times a day.

Praying in mosque

Question:

As salamu alaykum,
The prophet (saw) said: “Whoever lives near to the masjid and does not pray in it, his prayers are not valid.”

I live about 5 minutes from a Moroccan Masjid here in Belgium, but they pray some prayers too early. For example they pray Fajr an hour before the sun starts rising. They pray isha a half hour after the disappearance of the twilight. It just doesn’t seem right to me. They follow a prayer time calender which is not logical. During Ramadan their calendars said that between Isha and Suhr there was only 2 hours time.

Should I still pray in that mosque? The next mosque is too far away from where I live.

You should still pray in that mosque. Try to understand why they follow the prayer time  calendar you mentioned.

Prayer Request: Problems

Request:

Aslam Alaikum Yaa Shaykh(Q)!

I have been facing so many problems and diseases during the last 5 years, due to which my education also goes. I broke up so many times black magic spells also. After some times the same. It shows very bad effects on Tuesday and Friday. I also forget my namaz rakhats ...some amals said to me one of your aunts is doing black magic. Her sister also tells me that her mother has some evil powers..I do not know why she can do this..Please pray for me and also pray for my aunt. May Allah show her the Right Path….And I also want your help for Bait. I daily read 40 times Darood Ibrahami then 40 timed Surah Ikhlas and again 40 times Darood Pak and send its sawab to All 40 Nakashbani Aulia Karam. Please help me.
