Permission please

Question:

ASAwrwb Ya sayyidi and staff,
My adab is so bad, I don’t know if this question is long overdue, or redundant. Please forgive me. I know there is nothing I’ve done or could possibly do to deserve the blessings you shower on me, including opening the way for me to study Chinese medicine.
1. Starting last fall, from time to time I would rub my hands, recite Fatiha, and place them on an injury, as described in the Sufi healing book by the Mirahmadis. I did this for my parents, and 3x on friends.
I haven’t done this since you opened my eyes to ugly flaws in my character, which I’m trying to correct.
2. At school, tui na medical massage, acupressure and needling require transmission of Qi from the hands. I always try to stay connected to MSN and dhikr throughout.
Do I have permission for all these?

Answer:

`Salam alaykum,
Yes you have permission.

Prayer Request: Brain tumor and skull fracture

Request:

Assalam o alikum, with due respect I request Shayakh Hisham and Shayakh Nazim to pray for my fiance [private] who recently met an accident, his skull got two fractures and scans also showed a tumor in brain.

If I can recite any dua for him kindly let me know.
JazakALLAH

Response:

`Alaykum Salam,
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret) and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham (qs) are praying for you and your fiance in sha Allah. Picture the Dome (Qubba) of Holy Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) and invoke 300-5000 salawat on him daily. If you can afford it slaughter 3 goats on his behalf and feed the poor to the intention of recovery. If he recovers, 4 more goats. You may do this over time.

Prayer Request: Should I stay in my marriage?

Request:

Salaam,
Can you please do an istikhara for me because I want to leave my husband. We have been having a lot of problems for the the last 3 years and he has another wife and children from her. He never gives me time or does not care about me. He is ruled by this other woman. I have made it clear to him that I don’t want her in my home as she lives with his parents but he constantly brings her to my home as well and expects me to live in the same house sometimes. My name is [private] and my mother’s name is [private] and my husband’s name is [private] and his mums name is [private]. Can you please keep our names secret. please pray for me for Allah to show me a path where I will have my self respect.

Response:

`Alaykum Salam,

Shari`a gives you the right to ask for talaq because it is your right to have your own dwelling and he cannot bring to it another wife unless you give your consent. Try to reason with him and remind him of your rights and his duties. Let him get her her own space.

Dream of Kaaba & roza e Nabi

Question:

I once have seen in a dream that I was inside the Kaaba and there was a huge window inside. I was in very hurry and I want to pray namaz inside Kaaba. I thought I will miss it if I delay then I asked which direction I should pray, then I decided to pray in corner as I was inside the Qibla. Once I found Muhammad Ali Jinnah & other Muslims making dua in front of roza e Nabi then suddenly the doors were opened & I saw many graves inside.

Answer:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm
:

InchaAllah good tidings for you for having such a nice dream.
And Allah knows best.

Dream: Diamonds and dead people

Dream:

1) After Haajj when I was in Makkah I saw in my dream that both of my hands got bright like diamonds, and I got engaged & wore a ring of white gold. I heard a voice of someone saying my name is “Naeem” and you’re mine from now on. I saw my amma, she was there with me and happy.

2) After performing Hajj I also saw in my dream some strange dead people. They were saying tell everyone “Don’t forget us pray for us, you people have to come to us one day.”

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

It shows that your Hajj was accepted (represented in your dream by the engagement ring) insh Allah and that you have been raised to higher stations in the Divine presence (represented by the spiritual name “Naeem”).

The second dream is first a reminder for all of us that every soul shall taste death and that we need to prepare ourselves to meet our Lord. It is also a reminder for us that we need to die before we die to reach real servanthood to Allah (swt). And Allah knows best.

Dream: Two Dead Bees

Dream:

Salaam and may Allah bless You.

I dreamt of two dead honey bees in my home, in my bedroom to be precise. My husband (who is absent from the family home) points to them and tells me the bees are dead, but it is ok.

I sense the message in the dream is my husband will not come back and our marriage is over. As it has been over a year now and he still tells me he does not love or want to be with me. He appears to be enjoying his freedom as opposed to fulfilling his marital and fatherly duties.

Please forgive me, as I have asked so much of you already.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

It doesn’t mean the marriage is over but it means “the honeymoon is over” and that situation will last for two years total, or two months more after the dream.

Insha-Allah Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is praying for your reconciliation in the best way.

Dream: Shakyh Hisham’s Stick

Dream:

Salam Shakyh Hisham and Blessed Shayukhs,

I dreamt that I somehow managed to be holding MSH stick and some brothers told me to rest my head on the stick. As soon as I placed my forehead on the stick a powerful energy overtook me and I was surrounded by colours and good feeling. This feeling was quickly replaced by a feeling of being lost and something negative trying to surround me. I held tightly onto the stick and kept shouting ‘Maulana’ several times. I awoke in the dream crying and told my mother and sister who didn’t believe me, I went to show them the stick but it had turned into an umbrella. And then I woke up for real.

Shukran

Interpretation:

wa ‘alaykum salam,

Holding onto the stick represents baya`. Once you have attained this true baya` in the dream, you received all kinds of spiritual benefits flowing to you.  But Shaytan tried and will keep trying to make you forget that spiritual connection to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim through Shaykh  Hisham Kabbani. Don’t listen, but hold fast as in the dream, you will be safe, insha-Allah, and so will your family, protected by the spiritual umbrella of the mashaykh.

Want to be a Righteous Mother

Question:

I want some guidance as to how to become a good Muslim mother & wife. I have 2 teenaged daughters & I want to be exemplary both to them & my husband. PBT Allah, my husband is a convert & observes fasting, prayers (Friday, terawikh & Id prayers). He has no other vices (I hope).

Answer:

Always keep positive in your heart and mind. Never allow any negativity to enter into your life or your family. With practice of the Qur’an and duas from Hadith you’re on the right guidance. Recite Allah’s Names and Salawat for blessing.

Attending a non-Muslim wedding

Question:

Assalamu alaikum,

My wife would like to go to a non-Muslim (Hindu) wedding this weekend. She says she will not remain for the music and dancing but wants to go because it is a very close friend of hers. There will be some free mixing but my wife will be as careful as possible and modestly dressed.

I remain uncomfortable about this. What is the ruling of having close non-Muslim friends? What is the ruling on attending non-Muslim weddings? If I say I would not like her to go because it’s not good for the heart, it will upset her greatly but what is the best thing to do?

Jazakh’Allahu khayran

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

We are to do da’wah (to invite to Islam) and therefore kind towards non-Muslims. If that is our intention we are allowed to attend non-Muslim weddings.
