Prayer Request: To My Beloved Maulana Shaykh Hisham

Request:

Assalaamualaykum Maulana Shaykh Hisham,

I am very bad mureed, in fact i am not qualified to be a mureed. I still follow my ego, my nafs. You are my Shaykh, you know better than me. I am frustrated because of my sins. I have an addict to something that is not allowed in Islam.

Also, I am taking care of my father. He is very old, paralized in his leg, so I have to help him in many conditions. This situation makes me very hard to do weekly awrad, daily awrad, also so hard to attend occasions when you or other representative of Maulana Shaykh Nazim came to my country. Please pray for me so I can do daily awrad, weekly awrad and attend any occasions regarding Naqshbandi Thariqah.

Ya Sayyidi, forgive me. Please pray so Allah forgive me also. Please send salaam to my beloved Maulana Shaykh Nazim.

Wassalaamualaykum

Response:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

Insha Allah, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham will pray for you. Whatever that you do for your father, it shall be accepted as your personal struggle and is an act of ‘Ibadah that shall be witness for you in the Hereafter. Do get in touch with your local Naqshbandi representative from time to time, and perhaps the next time Shaykh Hisham pays a visit, you may get the opportunity to meet him.

Dream: Istikhara dream for leaving husband

Dream:

Salaam,

I did an istikhara to see whether my life and future is with my husband. I am a 1st wife and he has done many hurtful things to me and still does. He lives with family and 2nd wife and doesn’t give me time or money. I look after a child he had with a Muslim woman behind my back and this is why he’s with me I believe because no one really wants that child. I dreamt that his father was in my house and he was trying to dissemble my clothes cupboards and I told him not to. I know he’s not treating me right and wants both wives together often in my home and parents home. If I leave I don’t get anything financially but have worked during marriage. Our families do not speak and he uses this as a weapon. Please pray for me.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

You have rights which are not being respected by this man. You need to weigh the personal consequences of staying versus leaving and the impact either choice will have on all parties. If it is still unclear to you what to do pray istikhara again and follow what comes to your heart. You may recite “HasbunAllahu wa ni’am al- Wakeel” 100 times daily for spiritual support.

Dream: Feel like dying

Dream:

Asalaam Alaikum,

I recently had a dream in which I saw the grim reaper at the end of a bed that I was lying in, then I turned to my left side and closed my eyes. As I closed my eyes a weird sensation and feeling overtook me and in my mind I was thinking this is what it feels like to die, but after a while I realised I was still alive. I cannot remember the rest of the dream but this is what really was very vivid because I feel I can still remember the sensation I felt in the dream whilst I am awake. I saw a picture of the grim reaper during the day so I do not know if it was because of that it came in my dream.

JazakAllah Khair

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

wa `alaykum salam,
Remembering death is sunnah. Try to keep this experience as a reminder of your ultimate end and to keep the advice of Sayyidina ‘Ali: “Do for your dunya as if you are going to live forever, and do for your akhira as if you will die tomorrow.”  And Allah knows best.

Help regarding Islam’s position in Paediatric Palliative Care‏

Question:

I was advised by Shaykh Gibril Fouad Haddad to send the following for the attention of Dr. Karim Tourk.

I have been given the task of speaking about Islam’s position regarding Paediatric Palliative Care to an audience of doctors, nurses, physios, and social workers.

They would like some basic background about the Muslim faith and, in particular, beliefs around life and death.

They are then keen to know about the following:

1) Important rituals around death and dying in the Muslim faith
2) What they, as health professionals, can do to help before and after death
3) Timescales
4) Any things that they should particularly avoid doing
5) Who should and shouldn’t touch the child
6) Who should be there at the time of/after death
7) Direction that the child should face and why
8) Beliefs about post mortems
9) Any specific commmunication issues
10) Any other do’s and don’ts

Answer:

Many of the issues are going to be individualized by the family’s preferences and cultural traditions within the context of Islam. The general rituals of dying in Islam may be touched on in your presentation but most of these will be dealt with after the deceased has left the healthcare setting. Broadly speaking, post-mortems (autopsies) are not allowed as the deceased continues to feel after passing, hence the encouragement to use warm (not cold) water for washing the deceased. And Allah knows best.

Live with mom

Question:

Assalamu’alaikum,
Sorry for my lack of adab, ya Syaikh… I want to ask:
I’m in a confused situation. I work away from my mom. She used to live with my lilttle sister, but now my little sister works away from home too so my mom lives alone in our hometown. I  do really want to leave my job and stay with my mom. In other side, I work just to buy a house for my mom. My mom said it’s all up to me, but it seems she really upset if I stop working. She said, she’s willing to live alone and let her daughters work away from home. Would you like to tell me what should I do? Please pray for me, ya Syaikh. May Allah swt give long life good health and happiness to Sultan Awliya Mawlana Grand shaykh Nazim (QS) and to Mawlana Shaykh Hisham (QS) and to their families and companions.

salamu’alaikum

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,
Amin
. Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is praying for you, in sha Allah. Do as you mother says. Your work will afford her a better situation, in sha Allah, so be patient and do not quit your job.

(3) I’m 2_ yrs old man and my weakness is lust due to woman, every time shaitan drags me indirectly into it, is there any wazifa or something else, please help?

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

It is fine to use it as medication where required, and there are many other products of similar purpose where extracts of leech (Hirudo Medicinalis) and sea cucumber (e.g. Sticophus hermanii) are used.

Insha Allah, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham will pray for you to get married soon.
