“O Salafi Ulema”

Question:

Salamalaykum
Sorry about my last Salafi Ulema question -I worded it in a rude way but didn’t intend to be offensive, please ignore. I believe MSN was addressing some of his followers as Salafi Ulemas last year on the internet. Please is there any chance of shedding some light on this matter, in a general sense and/or in a sense specific to myself?

Thank you very much

Answer:

a`udhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem

wa `alaykum salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is able to simultaneously address the highest level of scholar as well as the simplest person in his lectures.  Like a true master, he can make the most complex subjects understandable, and he can delve into seemingly simple issues and bring forth knowledge which is fresh, unique and unprecedented.  His talks are followed by scholars from around the world, including Salafi scholars whom he was directly addressing to guide them back to the traditional teachings of Islam.  On a personal level we may consider our ego as being addressed and try to bring ourselves back into line. Wa’Allahu a`lam.
