Question:
Salams to dear Shaykh,
A couple of years ago before I took bay’at, I dreamt that I was doing Salat in an old hut with large carpets and I was facing an open window. I was performing either zuhur/Asr prayer and after I made my last sajdah, I saw a white tiger sitting in front of me and beside that tiger was a young deer. I also saw some butterflies fluttering around them. The next moment I know, I woke up.
Could you kindly interpret this dream of mine?
Salams and much love,
Interpretation:
wa `alaykum salam,
“Salat is the ascension of the believer.” The tiger sitting with the dear shows that you achieved a perfection in your salat that caused your nafs al-ammarah, the lower commanding self – the dark, lower side of the ego – to become tame, able to sit peacefully with the nafs al-mutma’inah, the tranquil soul – the good side of the ego – represented by the deer, allowing your soul to by uplifted to the point it can move spiritually and meet with other illuminated souls, as represented by the butterflies. All this indicates what you can achieve when you set your heart to it.
w ‘Allahu `alam,
