Covid-19 Vaccine

Question:

My name is [private] and approaching 68 years of age in a few months.

They are offering the Covid-19 Vaccines to my age group here. I have not seen anything on Sufilive whether there is permission to get the vaccines.

Our Mawlana Sheikh Nazim Haqqani (QS) was not a fan of vaccines in general for children. I definitely want Mawlana Sheikh Hisham Kabbani’s permission before proceeding.

Answer:

Wa alaykum salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani said people may take the vaccine if needed, (eg you are living in elderly facility which requires it, or health care worker, and work requires it), but pay some Sadaqa (charity) before you get it as Sadaqa repels affliction and prolongs life.
