Dream: Negate Whats Negated

Dream:

Assalamalikum Beloved Sayedi Shaykh Hisham. May Allah grant you long life, great health and happiness. Thank you infinitely for all you do for us, we can never be thankful enough.

This morning in dream I was with Shaykh Hisham and we Picked up Beloved Sayedi Shaykh Nazim in car. I was driving. We drove to mosque and went upstairs. Maulana had a very beautiful smile. Upstairs Saydna Mehdi (s) was there. He had orange sufi clothing, reddish beard, and white skin. Beautiful smile. His appearance was not what i had expected, Maulana Shaykh Nazim explained that this appearance was a small part of a whole.

Later Maulana Shaykh Hisham said to me, naegata we naegata. I didn’t understand and maulana then said. Negate against whats negated.

Thank you Beloved Sayedi and infinite love and salams to you.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

What a magnificent dream, masha-Allah. It contains extensive deep meanings of which I can only grasp a few.

Your driving the car with Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani to pick up Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani is an indication of excellent spiritual progress. Seeing Sayyidina al-Mahdi (as) is just what you saw, and wearing the Sufi clothes indicates that the only way to approach Mahdi (as) in this time is through Sufism and purification of the heart. As Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani explained his appearance is only a small part of the whole, meaning you need more spiritual progress to be able to perceive more aspects of the Savior and his reality inside yourself.

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani said recently “negative times negative is positive” explaining that we must use the power of negativity against our own negativity to create positivity.

For example, sexual desire, is generally negative, as it draws us to zina, adultery, but if channeled through marriage it is halal and thus of benefit.

As the Prophet (s) said:  “In the sexual act of each of you there is a sadaqa.” The Companions replied: “O Prophet of God! When one of us fulfils his sexual desire, will he be given a reward for that?” And he said, “Do you not think that were he to act upon it unlawfully, he would be sinning? Likewise, if he acts upon it lawfully he will be rewarded.” (Muslim)

And Allah knows best.

Prayer Request: Unveil me

Request:

My dearest Shaykh Hisham,

What is the fastest method for me to unveil myself and heart to reach my purpose in this life from your power-packed speech in Argentina .

Please advise me and please pray for everyone.
My family loves you very much and I have a picture of you in my room in Singapore.

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,

The fastest method is to keep up your five prayers, to do your awrad, and practice the three principles that one Sahabi was doing every day and the Prophet (s) described him as someone who is going to go to Paradise:

1) To give 3 x Shahada and `aqida before sleep, Ashadu an la ilaha ill ‘Llah wa ashadu anna Muhammadan rasoolullah wa iqamu ‘s-salata wa itau ‘z-zakat wa sawmu ramadan wa hajju ‘l-bayt haqqan amantu billah wa malaikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulih wa bil-yawmil-akhir wa bi’l-qadri khayri wa sharrihi wa bi’l-b`atha b`ad al-mawti haqquhu.

    2) He must be submitting to Allah’s Will and seeing everything coming from Allah and everything going to Allah and that companion said, “If all this dunya comes to me in the morning it doesn’t change anything in my life, and if all of it goes in the evening I don’t get angry I submit to Allah swt.” It is especially important to those whom Allah gave wealth that they are thankful, and when they lose their job to be thankful that Allah will give them new job, ie it means submission and surrender.

    3) Before sleeping forgive everyone that backbit you or spread rumors against you and it means to forgive everyone. That is difference but struggle with it as much as possible and keep connection with the Prophet (s), with your shaykh, and with awliyaullah .

    Is this a Sound Hadith?

    Question:

    Salamu alaikum sheikh,

    What’s the authenticity of the following hadith:

    ‘This religion will be transmitted from each preceding generation by its
    upright ones who will negate from it the aberrration of the fabricators
    and the construal of the ignorant’ (abu ghuddah p157, n3 kitab kasb)?

    JazakAllah khair

    Answer:

    wa `alaykum salaam,

    This hadith is narrated from the Companion Ibrahim b. `Abd al-Rahman al-`Adhari from the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace).

    The correct translation is:

    “From every succeeding generation its upright folk shall carry this knowledge in turn. They shall repeal from it the distortions of the extremists (tahrif al-ghalin), the (mis)interpretations of the ignorant (ta’wil al-jahilin), and the pretenses of the liars (intihal al-mubtilin).”

    عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَذَرِىِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم: يَرِثُ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَلَفٍ عُدُولُهُ يَنْفُونَ عَنْهُ تَأْوِيلَ الْجَاهِلِينَ وَانْتِحَالَ الْمُبْطِلِينَ وَتَحْرِيفَ الْغَالِينَ

    It is a fair hadith graded hasan gharib sahih by al-`Ala’i in Bughyat al-Multamis (p. 14=p. 34-35) and sahih according to Imam Ahmad (as narrated by al-Khallal in his `Ilal per al-Khatib in Sharaf As-hab al-Hadith p. 29), Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr in the introduction to his Tamhid — as cited by Ibn Kathir in al-Bidaya wal-Nihaya (1993 Turath ed. 10:371) and al-San`ani in Thamarat al-Nazar (p. 144) — and Ibn al-Wazir in al-`Awasim min al-Qawasim (1:312) and al-Rawd al-Basim (1:21-23) but da`if mu`dal cf. al-Daraqutni in Ibn al-Mulaqqin, al-Muqni` (1:246); `Abd al-Haqq al-Ishbili in al-Ahkam al-Wusta (1:121); Ibn Kathir in al-Ba`ith al-Hathith; al-`Iraqi in al-Taqyid (p. 116), al-Bulqini in Mahasin al-Istilah (p. 219), and al-Sakhawi’s long discussion in Fath al-Mughith (2:14-17). Ibn al-Qattan discussed it in his Wahm wal-Iham (3:37-41 §691) as did Abu Ghudda in Khams Rasa’il fi `Ulum al-Hadith (p. 133-141 marginalia to Ibn `Abd al-Barr’s discussion) and al-Zabidi devoted to it his monograph al-Rawd al-Mu’talif fi Takhrij Hadith Yahmilu Hadha al-`Ilma min Kulli Khalaf.

    Narrated:

    [1] from Abu Hurayra by al-Tabarani in Musnad al-Shamiyyin (1:344) with two chains, one of which is fair, and by al-Khatib in Sharaf As-hab al-Hadith (p. 28 §52) and al-Jami` (1991 ed. 1:193 §137=1983 ed. 1:128) with a very weak chain because of Maslama ibn `Ali;

    [2] from Abu Umama by al-`Uqayli in the introduction to his Du`afa’ (1:9) with a weak chain;

    [3] from Usama b. Zayd by al-Khatib in Sharaf (p. 28 §53);

    [4] from Abu Hurayra and `Abd Allah b. `Umar by al-Bazzar (Mukhtasar 1:122 §86), Tammam al-Razi (Fawa’id 1:350), Ibn `Abd al-Barr in al-Tamhid (1:59), and al-`Uqayli in al-Du`afa’ (1:10) — the latter two stating “ibn `Amr” — with very weak chains because of `Umar b. Khalid who is discarded as a narrator (matruk) as indicated by al-Haythami (1:140);

    [5] from `Abd Allah b. Mas`ud — the first sentence only, and with “inherit” instead of “carry” — by al-Khatib, Sharaf (p. 28 §54);

    [6] mursal from the Tabi`i Abu `Abd al-Rahman Ibrahim b. `Abd al-Rahman al-`Adhari by al-Bayhaqi in al-Sunan al-Kubra (10:209 §20685-20686) and Shu`ab al-Iman (10:209), Ibn `Abd al-Barr in al-Tamhid (1:59), Ibn Abi Hatim in al-Jarh wal-Ta`dil (2:17), Ibn Hibban in al-Thiqat (4:10), and al-Khatib, Sharaf (p. 28-29 §52-56) where the latter narrates that Imam Ahmad declared it sound (sahih), a grading faulted by Yahya b. Sa`id al-Qattan as cited by Ibn `Adi in al-Kamil (1:153) from al-Khallal’s `Ilal. Ibn `Adi then cites a chain of trustworthy narrators for it. Al-Dhahabi in Mizan al-I`tidal (1:45 §137) states that Ma`an ibn Rifa`a — who reports from al-`Udhri — is not reliable (Ibn Hajar grades him layyin, Taqrib §6747) but in al-Mughni (2:308 §6309) states that Ibn al-Madini declared him trustworthy, as did Ahmad (cf. al-Khatib, Sharaf p. 29 §56). Al-`Iraqi in al-Taqyid wal-Idah (p. 116) and al-Tabsira (1:298) said: “This narration is missing al least two sub-narrators (mu`dal) or missing the Companion-link (mursal). And this Ibrahim, who related it without naming the Companion, is not known to relate any narration other than this.”

    [7] From a number of other Companions — Abu al-Darda’, `Alī b. Abi Talib, Jabir b. Samura, and Mu`adh b. Jabal — all through weak chains as stated by Abu Nu`aym followed by al-`Iraqi and al-Qari in al-Mirqat (1994 ed. 1:509 §248) cf. al-Arna’ut. in Sharh Mushkil al-Aathaar (10:18 §3884).

    In view of al-Tabarani’s fair chain, Ibn `Adi’s chain of reliable transmitters, Ahmad and Ibn `Abd al-Barr’s gradings of sahih, al-`Ala’ī’s similar grading, the number of Companions related to narrate it, and the widespread use of this narration among the hadith Masters, the correct grading appears to be at the very least that of “fair” (hasan), and Allah knows best.

    Talaak

    Question:

    Salaams to all and thank you in advance.

    My husband has sent me a letter that says talaak 3 times. This has not been signed by 2 witnesses – is it valid?

    Also how long do i have to observe idaat for? I have problems with my health and get menstrual period once every 6 months. Does it still have to be 3 menstrual cycles? I have to support myself financially so is it ok if i work during this period?

    Answer:

    wa `alaykum salam,

    The husband can divorce his wife verbally or in the written form without having witnesses. Your husband has sent you a letter that says Talaq 3 times. This will count as one Talaq (divorce) as divorce in Islam is phased. You are both given three months to think it over. If he returns to you within the three months you will just continue to live together as husband and wife, but if he does not return within this period the Talaq (divorce) becomes final.

    Dream: Mirror & Cage

    Dream:

    AssalaamuAlaikumwrwb blessed scholars. If you could help me interpret the following dreams, thank you.

    1.I’m a female & in my dream I was looking at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a very modern white wedding dress,which was sleeveless&basically showed off my neck, shoulders and arms. Then I was looking at my buttocks in the mirror&I saw that I was wearing a fancy string (undergarment).(this is not how I dress in normal life). What I noticed is that my buttocks were very firm and the skin on it was very tight and young looking.

    2.I was standing in the middle of a big cage that was outside in my garden.This cage seems to be hanging in the air. In my hand I was holding something small.Out of it came mosquitos one by one that would sting me in the hand (I did not feel the sting) and then fly away.

    Interpretation:

    a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
    Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

    wa `alaykum salaam,

    1.This dream can mean that your future to be husband is going to love the way you look.

    2. You are going to be lifted in your wedding and receive money or gifts from the wedding guests represented by the mosquitoes.

    And Allah knows best.

    Dream: Dervishes in Blue Robes

    Dream:

    Selam Aleyküm,

    I had a dream that I visit a Tariqa in Istanbul together with my brother, we entered the building and up the stairs in to a room, inside the room was a shaikh who welcomed us (from here I am not able to remember).

    The second part was outside of the Tariqah, I stayed in front of the building and a lot of dervishes they wore blue robes with white turban leave the Tariqa.

    I had also in the past two dreams who I see the Moulana Shaikh Nazim together with his murids collect in a circle and we all together make dhikr.

    Please note. I am not a Naqshibandi. I am Turkish and born as Alevi. I hope you can help me with this three dreams that are related with Sufism and Naqshibandiyya.

    Veselam.

    Interpretation:

    a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
    Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

    wa `alaykum salam,
    This dream can mean that you should expand your view and widen your spirituality represented by the blue (sky) and move from being in a confined place to a sky blue wider space.

    Take the Naqshbandi way and expand your way without loosing your Alevi background.

    And Allah knows best.
